Apostolic Tradition, what you wrongly refer to as mere "church doctrine", is an important component of the Word of God.

IF it’s NOT in The Bible/God’s Word - it’s null and void.

And that goes for all RCC teachings, i.e, ‘saved by works’ which is in total opposition to God’s Word.

For it is by GRACE you have been saved, through FAITH—and this NOT from yourselves, it is the GIFT of God—NOT BY WORK, so that no one can boast.

RCC can’t claim something when their teachings are against it. It’s as simple as that - in spite of what the RCC’s ‘professionals’ say.
