Round and round we go.

Acts 8:34-36 The eunuch asked Philip, "Tell me, please, who is the prophet talking about, himself or someone else?" Then Philip began with that very passage of Scripture and told him the good news about Jesus.

Exactly. Without apostolic guidance and direction the eunuch was unable to understand the (Old Testament) Scriptures. From the beginning, as this scripture "proves", the Scriptures without the Church interpreting them lead to questions and misunderstandings.

It seems to me that the paragraph above is just as much "proved" by Scripture as any Sola Scriptura argument.

Are you

REALLY trying to say that

ONLY Apostilic anything could have taught the eunuch such Biblical truths?

Personally, I think a Spirit-filled camel driver could have done as well.

Throughout history, hierarchical structure + RELIGION has quickly become DEAD

AND

all too soon DEADLY.

There's a big difference between reading Scripture and seeing verse after verse address an issue and deciding that that is going to be a doctrine of the church, As with the virgin birth, the incarnation, the trinity, and deciding on a doctrine and going fishing for verses to try to justify it, like purgatory, the Immaculate Conception, the assumption of Mary, etc.

Don't ignore the other verses about Scripture that show that people checked it out themselves, like Acts 17:11 Now the Bereans were of more noble character than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true.

The Holy Spirit guides us and points us to Jesus. There is no requirement that it has to be church leaders.

This ground has been covered before...

You guys refuse to acknowledge that the Eunuch ask for direction as a 'natural man'...A natural man can't get what the scripture teaches without the leading of the Holy Spirit...

Your religion's choice of this particular incident to justify itself speaks volumes...

Any one can go off to school and learn 'about' the bible...But only a spirit filled Christian can understand the bible...

Another thing your religion refuses to acknowledge is that while this heathen Eunuch came into the picture void of any biblical understanding, with only a few hours, or minutes of instruction, the Eunuch left to spread the words of God in his own country armed with only a copy of the scriptures and the filling of the Holy Spirit...

Now that's amazing and should be an eye opener to you guys...
