That's because world in that sentence doesn't mean world (earth) as we know it...It means 'age'...
This age, and the age to come...We are now in the church age...
So, according to YOUR INTERPRETATION of Scripture, Jesus Christ lied when He said, "thou shalt not go out from thence till thou repay the last farthing,"
OF course he didn't lie...Both of those statements are true...
JEsus says someone will have to pay the last farthing...AND JEsus said He paid it ALL...

YOu want to pick one verse and dump the other...Your religion can't figure it out either...
In view of this, it would seem to be a good time to stop expounding on scripture and just sit back and listen, and learn...
Do you notice that your religion always picks the verses that tell you that you can be good enough for heaven if you just work a little harder at it???
AND Saint Paul lied when he wrote, "but he himself shall be saved, yet so as by fire"?
We've been over this a thousand times...Paul does not get burned by fire...You can not find a verse that says Paul was burned, or will be burned by fire...IT doesn't exist...
Paul's WORKS will be burned...Not Paul, or me or you...The good will will come thru the fire...The bad works will go up in ashes, never to be mentioned again...The bad works are not counted against you and they are gone...So now you are saved, but as yet by the fire that burned up your bad works...
And it has nothing to do with interpreting...It is believing plain scripture, as it is written...

Have you actually read the verse? If so do you understand what the word "thou" means? It DOES NOT mean Jesus Christ.
