That’s a good one.
Lutherans no longer believe what Luther believed.
They have changed with the prevailing winds, just like all protestant churches do.
As does the catholic church...Vatican 2 was their reformation in a sense. They changed as well. So your statement is not quite accurate apart from also including the catholic church. All churches do change to some extent as God clarifies and reveals truths which might have been otherwise not so clearly understood in prior years. Just archeology alone has revealed things we could not prior actually state as truth....but at most speculated on.
I agree LOL! Luther was a Catholic, ha ha, now Lutheran doctrine needs Scriptural warrant, yee hah. It is funny, finally a church that drew its doctrine from Scripture alone after 1400 some odd years. You knew Luther WAS a Catholic right?
What is really amusing is when sentences from Luther's sermons show up as support for Catholic doctrines. I know it was Monday, but I thought it was every third Wednesday and Thursday that Luther ceased being Satan's butler to Catholics and became a scholar worthy of reference.
As I have posted many times, Brother Martin's personal opinions on religion had to pass Scriptural scrutiny to be included within the Lutheran Confessions.
They have changed with the prevailing winds, just like all protestant churches do.
Please list what Confessional Lutheran doctrine has 'changed'. It will be a short list and will fit between here ",."
