By the way, God is not offended by the legitimate honor and reverence we give to His Mother. He is not jealous of the affection and love we give her. God has "thicker skin" than that!

Exodus 20:5 You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me,

Ascribing human passions to God is a pitfall. Gimme that old apophatic religion!

I thank God daily that He ended that neolithic nonsense and replaced it with the New and Everlasting Covenant based upon love, forgiveness and redemption.

God is offended by those who would presume to worship other gods. We don’t worship Mary. Period.

God is not jealous of the affection, love, and yes, veneration we give her.
The adoration we give to God is a completely different thing than the esteem in which we hold Mary.

Isaiah 42:8

I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.

Isaiah 48:11

For mine own sake, even for mine own sake, will I do it: for how should my name be polluted? and I will not give my glory unto another.

John 17:24

Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.
