To take it a step further, for Mary to be “blessed among women,” she must be superior IN ALL WAYS to Eve.
It’s all very clearly spelled out in Genesis 3:15 and the first chapter of the Gospel of Luke.
I don’t think protestants like the Old Testament, they rarely speak of it. I don’t think they much like the Gospel of John either, though they are happy to point out that Jesus said, I am the door completely missing the point or the significance of Jesus’ use of the words I AM.
