When I die, this body of sin is done and gone. I get a new body which won’t sin any more.
There’s no need to purge that body from sin.
Theres no need to purge that body from sin.
It's quite strange how defenders of sola scriptura are always telling us to believe a belief that IS NOT supported by the Bible over one that is:
[13] Every man's work shall be manifest; for the day of the Lord shall declare it, because it shall be revealed in fire; and the fire shall try every man's work, of what sort it is. [14] If any man's work abide, which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. [15] If any man's work burn, he shall suffer loss; but he himself shall be saved, yet so as by fire.
-- 1 Corinthians 3:13-15
What is the "world to come" that our Lord refers to here?:
[31] Therefore I say to you: Every sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven men, but the blasphemy of the Spirit shall not be forgiven. [32] And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but he that shall speak against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, nor in the world to come.
-- Matthew 12:31-32
Now we are talking about a sin that won't be forgiven in this world, and we know that ALL is forgiven in Heaven, but we also know that NOTHING is forgiven in Hell, so what is the "world to come" where sins may still be forgiven?
Where do we pay the "last farthing"?:
Amen I say to thee, thou shalt not go out from thence till thou repay the last farthing. (Matthew 5:26)
I'm not so worried about having my body reformed, but because I know that my soul is not yet perfect, and I also know that no imperfect thing can enter heaven, I know that God is going to remove all traces of sin from my grubby little soul before I go there. I'd prefer that He use a soft flannel cloth rather than a wire brush, but I'll be happy to be really clean regardless.
As far as physical imperfections, I'd like to be a natural blonde.
