"Why is it catholics always state what could any other than themselves know about the catholic faith." The first trigger is usually some ignorant Protestant making bizzare fabrications about the actual dogma of the Church and asserting them as fact. The second is when the same dufus defends those statements by quoting not from the Catechism or a nihil obstat source, but from vague recollections of their second grade Baltimore Catechism, or the Rev. Billy-Bob Rolex, a TV preacher, or an anti-Catholic website.

Well then lets have a list, other than Catholic resources themselves, which one might use as a resource acceptable to catholics...would that fix the problem? I think not...for what I have seen over and over again is no matter what source is used.... the person and the source are immediately condemmned. and very lucky if it’s even read to consider.

"uh...my pants are smoking. they may be on fire..."
We do not NEED to post obscure website posts. Your fellow RC's post all the time from your Catechism, and Second Vatican Council, and etc. The quotes from THESE sources are enough to convince any one who can read that it's actually WORSE than we could ever invent. There were some just posted some this morning regarding Mary and the Holy Spirit. And no, I will NOT go back and find them for you.

dufus defends those statements by quoting not from the Catechism or a nihil obstat source,,
Why would a Christian use a Catechism or ANY OTHER source when He has The Word of God?
from vague recollections of their second grade Baltimore Catechism,
What's wrong w/the 2nd gr Baltimore Catechism? Did they change it already?
or the Rev. Billy-Bob Rolex, a TV preacher, or an anti-Catholic website.
As opposed to what? The Papal Roman head gear, glittering gowns, ring kissing, bowing to man, command 'decrees' and anti-Sola Scripture?
