They meet either at different homes each week, or in the church meeting rooms. Each person takes a turn as facilitator and we study the weeks scripture leading up to the readings and gospel on that week’s Sunday mass.

It is every week, and everyone can join; they are purposely kept between a dozen to 15 members. The times offered vary to accomodate those who work, the community meets at night, or some in the afternoon and some in the morning.

The purpose is not just bible study. There are bible study groups just for that. The purpose of SCC is to apply the scriptures in our lives. Each small community learns in love to care for its members and if one member is ill to take care that member has all he/she needs in the way of help. If there is a death, not only the bereavement committee takes over in helping to plan the funeral, and supply meals, but the small community tends to their needs - babysitting, transportation etc.

SCC takes its applications of scripture into our workplaces and homes and into the community.

Thank you oh so very much for sharing your insights, dear brother in Christ!

I'm very glad to hear this and join in earnest prayer for the proliferation of this mission throughout the Catholic assembly around the world.

Praise God!!!
