Thank you, OR. They’ve been having conniption fits for days over my being a bridesmaid for my sorority sisters after college in three high mass RC weddings. These were enormous productions. Hundreds of guests. Seven bridesmaids each time. The service lasted well over an hour. Lots of kneeling and standing and kneeling again. The wedding party all received communion (although the Protestants were to put their heads down when it was offered.)
I wasn’t the only Protestant attendant at these weddings. There were several of us. And the RCs who hosted these weddings certainly made us feel more welcome that the furious and clearly envious numbskulls here.
Yeah, I’ve known some wonderful RC’s face to face.
None of them particularly enjoyed being around RC’s more Roman Catholic than the Pope, however.
