She is NOT THE MOTHER OF GOD ALMIGHTY.

I never said she was; nor does the Church I do believe. Mary is the human mother of His divine Son. That's God's miracle, right there.

As to "facilitated worship," I don't see anything wrong with it. It is yet another route to immediacy under God. Even Protties have "facilitated worship." It's just their rituals are a whole lot less elaborate.

Again, I can only speak for myself....

Thank you ever so much for writing, dear brother in Christ!

THANKS for your kind and quick reply.

I know you didn't assert that Mary was GOD ALMIGHTY'S MOM.

I do think that PERHAPS

even you fail utterly to understand the extremely thin line involved.

AND that the term "MOTHER OF GOD"

SEEMS TO PRODDYS and certainly to this psychologist and sociologist

to be a DELIBERATE elevating of Mary INTO the Godhead as the Ferraro book further documents and amplifies.

It's a slippery slope.

IF the Vatican emphasis was strictly to note that Mary was Jesus' Mother--they could just as easily use the phrase

MOTHER OF JESUS.

THEY DELIBERATELY CHOSE OTHERWISE.

THERE IS NO BEHAVIOR WITHOUT A REASON!

I find the most plausible reason for that word choice to be devilish, seductive, blasphemous, idolatrous and disingenuously so.
