You must not have read the excerpt in my post very carefully. I don’t know what else to say.
I was considering posting the enormous number of examples of the early Church Fathers expounding on the primacy of Peter, but it would a take a few hours to read through, and I don’t want to cause the moderators any grief. I’ll be posting some selections in a while.
It’s probably bad manners to create a post that would take several hours to read.
Stay tuned.
All I'm saying to you is Peter was not in charge of the Council of Jerusalem. He did not give the final sentence, James did. James was president of the council.
And unless it was Pope humor, James did not address Peter as the name the Lord gave him at the time he was supposed to have been made the vicar of Christ.
The fact that James calls Peter, Simeon, says a lot.
It would be a waste of time creating a post that would take several hours to read because people just don’t have that kind of time to spend.
Links work better and if someone is really interested in reading them they’ll read them going to a link. If they’re not, posting it on FR won’t make any difference because they won’t read it anyway.
I am just the elderly lady in the pew who lifts up Prayer intentions/Rosary for all.
Not a theologian.
