I also pick up little vibes of Gnostic Manicheanism.
For us the fullness of what human is is the union of soul body (or soul in body). If a body weren't part of the perfection of the esse of human, there wouldn't need to be a resurrection.
So it is not a "merely physical" thing that Mary is the Mother of Jesus (who is God.) It is a spiritual reality first because all motherhood has or ought to have this spiritual side, and second because of the uniqueness of Jesus' being one person in whom two natures are united.
So I get the impression, the 'vibe', that your side wants to say, "Yes, yes, she was His mother, but that's all, let's move beyond that." And our side is saying "There's no 'that's all' about any motherhood, least of all this one. The physical fact of Motherhood can't be separated from the Spiritual Reality."
I am fast running out of gas. I just want to note that God's being eternal follows from his being uncaused but the cause of everything else.
WRONG.
Alamo-Girl, Betty Boop and sometimes I talk of such fairly frequently.
We just don’t mangle it into the contortions y’all seem to.
We don’t FANTASIZE, RATIONALIZE, PRETEND AND presume pet UNBIBLICAL heresies are the result of that fact.
