Deo, I have many times seen the arguement you are raising in your posts so of course I also know where the arguement always leads and I am not going to entertain that same ol’ arguement now.

Honestly I think that in our day God is pleased when people even consider reading a translation...He can use any scripture He chooses to bring forth His desire and or revealing Himself to a seeker. However for the student of God’s word it is always interesting to read from various translations.

The “reformers” removed that which did not stand the test. You know the history..and frankly I am in agreement that those books are not inspired.

What "test"? Who decided the terms of the test, and on what authority did they decide it? What was wrong with the earlier authority (the Church) that decided those seven books belonged to the canon of Sacred Scripture? Why were those authorities wrong for 1400 years and Martin Luther, etc. suddenly right? Remember that Luther removed the Epistle of St. James and called it an "epistle of straw". Was that the act of a man inspired by the Holy Spirit? Do you agree with him that it should be thrown out? He also added the word "alone" to the verse from Romans 3:28 in his German translation, which is not in any other Bible. Was that also an inspired act, to add words to the Bible?

Why are the "reformers" more reliable than the unanimous judgment of the bishops of the Church for the previous 14 centuries? Did the Holy Spirit make a mistake in leading the Church to accept those seven books for so long? He was sent to lead us into ALL TRUTH. How did he miss such an important point of faith?

All questions that beg for an answer if one is to accept the reliability and authority of the Protestant version of the Bible, which is missing seven books.
