The FINISHED WORK OF CHRIST PLUS YOUR WORKS doesn't mean anything. Because if your works are in any way involved, then the work of Christ by necessity, isn't a FINISHED effort.

Col 1:24?

"Who now rejoice in my suffeirngs for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body's sake, which is the church: "(Col. 1:24).

Fill up: to complete. Not the sufferings of Christ for our sins, but those things believers would suffer for the church and truth: The Church the Body of Christ. See also Romans 8:18 and 2 Timothy 3:12.
