There’s the money shot, right there... Did A-N-Y-O-N-E scrape and bow before Mary? Did anyone pray to those beyond the grave? Did anyone pray to angels?
Nope. It ain’t there.
INDEED TO THE MAX.

The only thing we are left with then is the old "everybody's doing it excuse". Well the ignorant can mock or they can get some learning. John of Damascus is your source here.

Sheesh . . . absurdities to the max as usual . . . anything to slippery-ly slide out of facing the truth.

God is ALL-POWERFUL. He can do whatever He wants. He CHOSE to do things as He did, and that included His plan for Mary. She did not need to be preserved from original sin, but it was supremely fitting that She was.Where is that found in Scripture?
The Bible says that ALL have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
Christ DID need to suffer death. The penalty for sin is death. If Christ had not died to take the punishment for our sins that God's justice demanded, He could not impart righteousness to man because God would still need to require death as the penalty for sin.
Forgiveness could only be given after the penalty had been paid.

Personally, I don’t think we have a clue in any precise way,
WHY Jesus said John was greatest of mortals.
However, it IS CLEAR HE MEANT IT.
It is also clear that included greater than Mary.

Again, Jesus knew Who He was. Jesus said it, but because it conflicts with a YOPIOSism about Mary of Catholics, Catholics discount it. I argue no ‘logic’ just a clear reading of s simple passage. One of the many that must be dumped to elevate Mary the Mother of God to her present position in Catholicism. The Lord Himself said it. Your argument is with Jesus (again), take it up with Him if you can find Him under the bus where He is cast by Catholic reasoning. This is like arguing with liberals.

I agree and disagree.
I agree with all your points . . . except the last one.
It’s like arguing with LOBOTOMIZED LIBERALS.

If Mary had been immaculately conceived herself, then there would be NO woman who could possibly be viewed in light of Christ’s words, “Among those that are born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist...”
That would have been a lie. And we know that isn’t possible. Surely Jesus Christ would have KNOWN that His mother was also immaculately conceived...hmmmm....
INDEED. EXCELLENT POINTS.

i should realize that RC’s are likely to continually stoop to new lows against Scripture and God’s priorities.

Obviously, this commandment forbids the making of images for religious use. It also prohibits the worshiping of such objects.
I agree with you that it forbids the making and using of them as idols. It does not forbid the making of a statue for some other use, even religious.
Read this:
People who oppose religious statuary forget about the many passages where
the Lord commands the making of statues. For example: "And you shall make two cherubim of gold [i.e., two gold statues of angels]; of hammered work shall you make them, on the two ends of the mercy seat. Make one cherub on the one end, and one cherub on the other end; of one piece of the mercy seat shall you make the cherubim on its two ends. The cherubim shall spread out their wings above, overshadowing the mercy seat with their wings, their faces one to another; toward the mercy seat shall the faces of the cherubim be" (Ex. 25:1820).
David gave Solomon the plan "for the altar of incense made of refined gold, and its weight; also his plan for the golden chariot of the cherubim that spread their wings and covered the ark of the covenant of the Lord. All this he made clear by the writing of the hand of the Lord concerning it all, all the work to be done according to the plan" (1 Chr. 28:1819). Davids plan for the temple, which the biblical author tells us was "by the writing of the hand of the Lord concerning it all," included statues of angels.
Similarly Ezekiel 41:1718 describes graven (carved) images in the idealized temple he was shown in a vision, for he writes, "On the walls round about in the inner room and [on] the nave were carved likenesses of cherubim."
During a plague of serpents sent to punish the Israelites during the exodus, God told Moses to "make [a statue of] a fiery serpent, and set it on a pole; and every one who is bitten, when he sees it shall live. So Moses made a bronze serpent, and set it on a pole; and if a serpent bit any man, he would look at the bronze serpent and live" (Num. 21:89).
One had to look at the bronze statue of the serpent to be healed, which shows that statues could be used ritually, not merely as religious decorations.

OF COURSE.
But that sensible reasoning is rational and Biblical.
The RC’s seem to have little interest in either.

If Mary had been immaculately conceived herself, then there would be NO woman who could possibly be viewed in light of Christs words, Among those that are born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist...
Irrelevant conclusion. Jesus didn't say, "Among those that are born of women there is no one with less sin than John the Baptist." He said there was not a "greater prophet" than John the Baptist. Mary, the mother of Jesus, was not a prophet. This Bible verse is irrelevant to the point in question.
