What else does a protestant have for authority but himself?

=============================================

CHRIST AND PAUL BOTH asserted that we have Holy Spirit as a more than sufficient authority--given HIS LEADING US INTO ALL TRUTH, RIGHTLY DIVIDING SCRIPTURES.

OF COURSE we realize that RC's are quite given to arguing with Christ about those doing The Father's will being HIS TRUE BROTHERS AND SISTERS EQUAL TO OR ABOVE HIS BLOOD HALF-BROTHERS AND HALF-SISTERS--YET THE VATICAN INSISTS THEY ARE NONEXISTENT TO far lower than Mary; about Holy Spirit leading individuals and groups sufficiently authoritatively and functionally . . . etc. etc. etc.

AFTER ALL . . . !!!!TRADITION!!!! rules, NOT Holy Spirit

AT THE VATICAN!

And when Holy Spirit is on vacation--usually at 'spouse' Mary's orders--perhaps for His ?health?--then the WHITE HANKYS RULE.

What does your side make of this kind of thing:
And he gave some as Apostles, others as prophets, others as evangelists, others as pastors and teachers, to equip the holy ones for the work of ministry, for building up the Body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of faith and knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the extent of the full stature of Christ.
