August 13, 2010  Rochester, New York - In 1948, Wright Field in Dayton, Ohio, merged with Patterson Field to become Wright-Patterson AFB. Three years later on May 21, 1951, the USAF established the Air Technical Intelligence Center (ATIC) that changed again in 1961 to the Foreign Technology Division (FTD). Also created in 1961 was the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) that has been linked by many government and military insiders to TOP SECRET missions related to non-human intelligences interacting with Earth. U. S. Army Lt. Col. Philip J. Corso wrote in his 1997 book, The Day After Roswell, that he saw himself at least one non-human body at Fort Riley, Kansas, en route from retrieval at a 1947 crash site near Roswell, New Mexico, to Wright Field in Dayton, Ohio.

By 1958, one of the secretaries in ATIC was enjoying a birthday party with her colleagues on the second floor of a Wright-Patterson AFB building directly above a railroad track. During the party, there was a loud noise outside and everyone hurried to the windows to see what had happened. The surprising details were described to me in a recent phone call on August 8, 2010, from a technical illustrator who used to work for Kodak, Friden, Inc., General Dynamics and Wright-Patterson AFB. He has asked for anonymity to protect his family, but he agreed I could tell his story and call him John Smith.

Mr. Smith is now 79-years-old and has lived in the Rochester, New York, area for forty-five years with his wife. He did not go to college after high school graduation in 1949, but eventually applied his creative sketching ability to work as a technical illustrator. He told me, “Between 1950 to 1954, I worked in a Kodak plastic department. Then a job opening to illustrate parts manuals came from Friden Inc. in Rochester, New York, that manufactured Flexowriters. I worked there from July 1956 until 1960, drawing parts manuals. In October 1958, we received a list of people coming to Friden for class instructions about the Flexowriter. I helped make the name tags and distributed them.”

[ Editor’s Note:  Wikipedia - The Friden Flexowriter was a teleprinter, a heavy duty electric typewriter that could simultaneously transfer keystrokes from one site to a distant site.]

Two of the name tags said “Air Technical Intelligence Center (ATIC), Wright-Patterson AFB, Dayton, Ohio.” That caught Mr. Smith's attention because of an encounter he and a young friend had with strange aerial lights when they set out on a double date in December 1950.


Interview:

“John Smith,” former Friden, Inc., Technical Illustrator, Rochester, New York:  “In 1950, I was 19-years-old and was working as a printer in Bond’s Clothing on Goodman Street. There I met a gentleman from Sweden who along with me had decided to go on a double date to Batavia, New York, to pick up a couple of young ladies who were waiting for us to go out on the town in Rochester, have a good time, and the return the girls to Batavia. That was in the winter of 1950 just before the turn of the New Year to 1951 after Christmas.

On the way up there, I remember distinctly it was about 10 degrees F. above zero - so cold! We were driving a 1950 Chevrolet and it only had a gas heater in it and we were nearly freezing ourselves. We had agreed to meet the girls at Aunt Mary’s Candy Store in Batavia.

En route around 7:00 PM, we suddenly saw in the sky on Route 33 A - which was the only route that you could take to Batavia at that time – there were two lights in the sky that appeared to be from a motor-driven aircraft, either a DC-3 or the new Convair that had just come out. These lights shone right on us and lit up the entire car as the object passed over us. And then the aerial craft came down in a field to the left of us that had a silo and a rather large barn. We could see because the stars and moon were out.

Suddenly those two lights went out, but two other huge lights the size of dinner plates stayed on and hung above the ground.

WHAT COLOR WAS THE LIGHT SHINING INTO YOUR CAR?

Originally it was white light that came in and lit the car up like daylight. We thought that was unusual, but we actually thought we were going to see an airplane crash. So, when this thing flew over the top of us, it stopped! Two, huge lights that appeared like dinner plates in the sky separated by maybe 10 to 15 feet were some distance from us across the field.

SO THEN YOU KNEW THE OBJECT WAS NOT A CRASHING AIRPLANE BECAUSE IT HAD THE ABILITY TO STOP STATIONARY IN THE SKY AND BRING ON THE TWO, LARGE, WHITE LIGHTS?

Yes, and those two big lights turned color. They turned from white to a ring of orange and then another color in the center. Then we thought it must be a helicopter. What else could it be? Remember this was 1950 and that’s all I could think of.

The fellow who was driving – his name was Simon Creson. He was a refugee from Germany who worked also at Bond’s Clothing where I worked. As the lights on the aerial object changed color, I asked Simon to stop and he did. I got out of the car and I was only outside for a minute when I began really freezing. But suddenly, one of the lights to the left just shot away like a bullet and went into the distance quite a ways. Then it came back in an undulating movement, up and down, and joined into the other light as one. They became one light and still hovered near the silo and barn that were easily discernible in the distance about a thousand feet off the road.

Then the lights very slowly moved away in the same undulating manner that the other light had come back to the first one. Then they were gone. We were astonished that the craft did not crash and we heard no noise. It was soundless.

I got back in the car and Simon Creson asked, ‘What were those things?’ I said,  ‘Beats me. I have no idea, but I’ve never seen anything like that before.’

We went on to Batavia. We thought we were right on time because he and I looked at our watches when we went through Rochester to Route 33A to pick up the girls. But they were not where they were supposed to be. We began looking for them and found the girls had moved away from Aunt Mary’s Candy Store and gone into another place to get warm. Then we all had a big argument about why we were so late. We said we were not late at all. But the girls said, ‘Just look at the clock up there.’ The clock on the steeple in town showed we were fifteen minutes late.

We reset our watches by turning the hands fifteen minutes ahead. Then we went on to the Helendale Inn in Rochester. There we had a couple of drinks and continued to talk and discovered that the girls had also seen strange lights come over the city of Batavia where they both lived and were friends. That’s when we noticed that all the clocks in Rochester also were on the same time as Batavia, which was 15 minutes faster than our watches and the little clock in our car had been after our encounters with the lights. Something had affected our watches and the car clock. We didn’t know what it was.

IT IS AS IF YOUR WATCHES STOPPED DURING FIFTEEN MINUTES, DID NOT MOVE, WHILE SOMETHING HIGHLY UNUSUAL HAPPENED IN RELATIONSHIP TO THOSE HOVERING AND MOVING LIGHTS. THEN YOU CAME BACK TO A REALITY WHERE CLOCKS AND WATCHES HAD NEVER STOPPED.

SO, AT NINETEEN YOU APPEAR TO HAVE HAD A MISSING TIME EPISODE IN RELATIONSHIP TO THE UNIDENTIFIED LIGHTS. NOW, PLEASE GO TO YOUR HANDING OUT NAME TAGS IN 1958 AT FRIDEN, INC., TO THE FLEXOWRITER STUDENTS.

I was 27-years-old in 1958 and by then, I had read a book by George Adamski about his experiences with flying saucers and other articles about discs and lights and Roswell and Wright-Patterson. I began to wonder if there was some kind of electromagnetic affect from the strange lights on our watches. Those aerial lights might have stopped our watches and our car clock and then started them again with the loss of fifteen minutes when we got to Batavia.

That's why while distributing the name tags for class sessions at Friden, Inc, in 1958, I noticed the two cards that said Wright-Patterson AFB, Dayton, Ohio. One of those women was going to lunch at the same time every day with her friend who was in military uniform. On that particular day, she came back alone and I asked her, ‘Is there anything that you can tell me from your work at Wright-Patterson about strange lights and things in the sky that people have been seeing all over?’

She said, ‘Is there some place we can go to talk where no one else can hear? And do you mind if we go alone?’ She asked that because another illustrator was with me, who is now deceased. I showed her a closet door that led to a rather large technical room she would be going into during her Flexowriter classes.

So, she agreed to go in there and I locked the door. The conversation began something like, ‘One day ten years before in 1948 at Wright Field (soon then to become Wright-Patterson AFB), we were having a birthday party on the second floor of ATIC,’ the intelligence division that would later become the Foreign Technology Division FTD. Some partiers had cameras that apparently were allowed into ATIC at Wright Field in 1948.

She told me that during the birthday party, they had taken some photos of the birthday person and were having a good time when suddenly, a large noise happened outside. So, they immediately opened the blinds to see what happened. The second floor was high enough so you could see the railroad track that ran by the building. She said as they opened the blinds, they saw a translucent vehicle  – at least 30 to 50 feet in diameter – sitting on a train flatcar. The tarpaulin that had apparently been over it had broken loose at the top, exposing the craft. A bunch of military troops were scrambling to reattach the tarp.

The birthday party people on the second floor could see through the vehicle on the train flatcar, which was a great surprise to them. The woman stressed that the craft was not completely transparent, but more translucent where light got into the craft and they could see inside.

The secretary told me that inside the craft were two swivel-looking seats and a console where two, brown-skinned, small men in jump suits sat with their hands embedded in hand prints in the console and John Smith thought the secretary mentioned only four fingers.

She insisted that some people at the birthday party took photographs of the translucent craft and she had even seen a couple of photos. Once the tarp was re-attached, the train began to pull the flatbed with soldiers standing on the train car, probably to make sure the tarp stayed in place.

She said two small men appeared to be sitting at swivel-like chairs, but their hands were mounted on a console and they were moving, so she knew they were alive. Their skin was brownish-grey and they wore a jumpsuit or like a ski suit. The suit covered their whole body and also the top of their heads as a one-piece suit.

COLOR?

Totally black.

WHAT ABOUT THEIR EYES AND NOSE?

She could not see noses or any more features on them, but their eyes did stand out. Their eyes were somewhat large and somewhat slanted and dark in the center surrounded by whites so the black centers stood out as black eyes.

THE FINGERS OF THE BEINGS  WERE EMBEDDED IN THE CONSOLE PANELS THAT ARE IN FRONT OF THE TWO, DARK-SUITED BEINGS?

Yes, and the beings kept their fingers in the console even when they swung around a little bit and looking at each other. That’s when the tarp was finally reattached. Then she and all the other people upstairs at the birthday party watching through the windows saw the train pull away and headed for Wright-Patterson Building 828.

HOW DID THE SECRETARY KNOW THAT THEY TRANSPORTED ON THE TRAIN FLATBED THE TRANSLUCENT CRAFT AND LIVE BEINGS TO BUILDING 828?

That was told to her by another friend, a nurse, who was in on the retrieval of the craft, along with a Sergeant who had also been involved in it. The nurse told her secretary friend that they put the craft in Building 828 and there was a lot of concern around Wright-Patterson that there was contamination. The reason for the concern is that several people who helped with the craft’s retrieval had become ill with flu-like symptoms.

Though I’m not in total agreement about total destruction though he didn’t use that word.

God is not finished with certainly the remnant in this grand land. And He will fulfill His purposes for this land after the horrific disciplines.

I do believe that for some few to several years . . . the difference between the reality and total utter destruction will be a moot issue for most folks in most regions.

The Pope is not my earthly or spiritual father. I already have an earthly father and my spiritual Father is in heaven. So what the earthly spiritual father of Catholics or those that surround him say doesn't matter to me.

July 30, 2010  Tuscola, Texas - For the past 30 years since December 1980, no one ever said there was a TOP SECRET investigation organized right after sunup on December 26th, by RAF Bentwaters Base Commander Col. Ted Conrad. That was the morning that Staff Sgt. James Penniston, Airman 1st Class John Burroughs and Airman Ed Cabansag encountered lights and a craft in Rendlesham Forest, England. There were rumors right from the beginning that “one of the men jumped up on a UFO or was taken up in a beam of light.” The airman allegedly taken was John Burroughs, but even he did not know until recently that Commander Ted Conrad was already getting men he trusted out into the forest to examine tripod indentations in the forest floor and burn marks on the trees – even before the famous December 28th  night of Deputy Base Commander Lt. Col. Charles Halt. That’s when the famous audiocassette tape recording was made by Col. Halt out in the forest.

For  several hours, some two dozen Air Force personnel reported moving, jumping lights; thin beams of light coming down to the ground; and even a multi-colored aerial craft on or above the farmer’s field.

One of the handpicked men in the TOP SECRET Base Commander’s investigation was Staff Sergeant Monroe Nevels, a photographer and Disaster Preparedness technician at RAF Bentwaters.

Monroe Nevels was born in Phenix City, Alabama, on October 15, 1948. Today he is 61-years-old. In December 1980 at RAF Bentwaters AFB in England, Monroe was 32-years-old in his second military career after serving first in the U. S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam war from 1966 to 1970. He enlisted in the USAF March 1, 1971 for duty until November 18, 1984. In the Marines, Monroe had trained as a Nuclear, Biological and Chemical specialist, which the U. S. Air Force called Disaster Preparedness. “At that time in 1971,” Monroe explained, “there were only forty or fifty of us in that disaster preparedness field for the U. S. Air Force. We were trained for aircraft accidents and some training included simulated nuclear weapons on board as well as biological and chemical threats.”

“My RAF Bentwaters assignment was to the Disaster Preparedness Office where I was the on the Disaster Preparedness Response Team, or DPST and my primary mission was as a Chemical Defense Instructor.  But I also trained the DPST on nuclear and biological threats. Our office consisted of twenty or twenty-five people, but I was sort of the chief instructor because I taught all the newcomer classes and refresher courses and I related more to the chemical side. However, that included knowledge about RADIAC instruments for measuring radioactivity from nuclear materials because we had nuclear weapons stored at the RAF Bentwaters Weapons Storage Area.” [RADIAC is an acronym for Radiation, Detection, Identification, and Computation]

What no one has known until now is that Saturday afternoon around 4 PM on December 27, 1980, Staff Sergeant Monroe Nevels, Disaster Preparedness technician at RAF Bentwaters, had a surprise visit from Lt. Bruce Englund, the Shift Commander for Bravo Flight Security Police.  Both Sgt. Nevels and Lt. Englund had served in the Marines before re-enlisting in the U. S. Air Force. Lt. Englund told Sgt. Nevels he was there on TOP SECRET orders of the RAF Bentwaters Base Commander Col. Ted Conrad.

  “I was in my home on Woodbridge base. I got a knock on the door and it was Lt. Bruce Englund from the Security Police. He came in and started walking through my home and looking throughout my home to see if there was anybody else there with me. And I told him my daughter was in there, that she was 3-years-old. He asked, ‘Does she understand what I’m talking about? Because what I’m about to say is TOP SECRET.’

Lt. Englund said, ‘I’m here because I was sent by the Base Commander Col. Ted Conrad. He asked me to come here and pick you up and let me go into detail about what he said.’ So then he started going back and relating all the instances of the UFO on December 25th through that time frame.

The story I got from Lt. Englund was that the London tower on December 25 to 26, when all this started, contacted the tower at Woodbridge base and asked them to identify the object that was above them because it was on their radar and they could not determine what it was.

SO LONDON IS LOOKING AT WOODBRIDGE AND SEEING AN OBJECT ON RADAR. LONDON CONTACTS WOODBRIDGE TO ASK,'WHAT IS IT WE ARE SEEING?’ AND WOODBRIDGE SAYS, ‘WE DON’T SEE ANYTHING.’

Exactly.

HAD HE SAID TO YOU SPECIFICALLY IN THE HOUSE ABOUT THE ABDUCTION AT THE SITE?

Lt. Englund told me that one of the airmen had been taken aboard the spacecraft (in Rendlesham Forest). 

He was talking about what had happened at 3 AM on December 26th - can you talk about that?

Yes. He just basically went through and told me that Sgt. Jim Penniston and John Burroughs were involved. I do remember their names were mentioned and Lt. Englund said even to the point that someone had been abducted into the aircraft.

And he also said, ‘The reason Col. Conrad had asked for me to come and get you is because he felt that if he wanted an honest answer from anybody, then you would give it to him. So, it’s my orders – they are down at the Woodbridge Officer’s Club and they are having a party down there. And when we get through on our investigation, Col. Conrad will be waiting for us and we have to go back and you report to him what you saw (at Rendlesham Forest spacecraft landing site.)”

We left about 4:30 PM that day and we went over to RAF Bentwaters and carried my daughter to the Base Chaplin’s office because my wife was there in a Chaplin’s event for the ladies.

Then I got back in the jeep. We had lightscopes, the night vision goggles, with us. And I also had my camera. When we got there (beyond the East Gate) at the scene in Rendlesham Forest,  Lt. Englund began to pinpoint things that had happened.

This goes right to the heart of what exactly was happening by December 28, 1980? Col. Conrad had already ordered Lt. Bruce Englund to go into the forest because Lt. Englund would not have known where to take you if he had not already been out at the December 26, 1980, craft landing site, right?

Right, unless he had been given instructions [ by Col. Conrad? Or who?] All I know is when we went out there to do the investigation, Lt. Englund stopped the jeep and said, ‘Right here is where we need to stop.’

'Man, those trees are tall!’ And he said, ‘Yes, they said the craft that came in did not break any limbs and came right through the trees and sat down.’

Which seems impossible.

It’s an impossible thing in our realm, but not impossible for whatever They were doing.

From perhaps outer space.

Right. And he took me to the site of the landing. We proceeded to go into the area to see what my observation might be. I had my camera , loaded with Kodak Tri X, to be pushed to ASA 800. When we got in there, I saw the three indentations in the ground and really studied the three indentations on the forest floor. When we got back in the jeep and slowly headed back towards the East Gate, on the way I looked over to my left and saw the bright light in the forest.

When I got out, the lights got brighter.

Like they were coming toward you?

No, it was just like they knew I was there. And the light got brighter. And I said, ‘I’m going to get back in the jeep and see what happens.’

By that time, I had electrostatic charge all over my head and arms and everything. I knew something was wrong.

You mean the hair was standing up on your head and arms?

Yes, like static in the air.

Like an electrostatic field in a thunderstorm?

Right. And I got out there and I got scared, too, because I didn’t know what I was looking at! So I get back in the jeep and when I get back in the jeep, Lt. Englund is a little bit agitated, but then I could see the light would get dim. And then I’d move out, start to open the door, and the light would get bright again. What the light would do is sit there pulsating.

Reacting to what you did in the jeep?

Right.

What Lt. Englund must have been thinking about was that earlier on December 26th, one of the men in the forest - John Burroughs and Jim Penniston - had been abducted into the 'craft of unknown origin' as they described it to Lt. Fred Buran (C Flight Shift Commander.)

All I heard was the word ‘abduction.’ He just said an airman at the time. [ John Burroughs was a USAF Airman 1st Class and James Penniston was a Staff Sergeant.]

Finally I just said, 'OK, now we can go.' And we went back to the Woodbridge Officer's Club. And when we reported in, the maitre d' went to Col. Conrad. Col. Conrad came out and ushered both of us in. Inside that room, I saw Col. Halt and I saw Col. Conrad. I believe Col. Williams was there. I'm not sure, but I think he was. The Security Police Chief was there and he was in uniform.

So, when I got in, we discussed a little bit about what I saw and then Col. Conrad asked me, ‘Sgt. Nevels, do you think it warrants further investigation?’

I said, ‘Yes, sir, most definitely.’

That's when Col. Halt jumped in and began to assemble a team and we went back from there to the base over at RAF Bentwaters [Woodbridge and Bentwaters were about 4 miles apart]. And I picked up the RADIAC instruments.”

. . . .So, when we went out to the edge where there was a farmer's field and Lt. Col. Halt and myself were mainly the leaders. We were in front. We looked out and saw this object that was sitting over in the farmer's field about 200 yards away. To me, it looked kind of yellowish-orange - like very hot and it looked like it was on fire burning. Every once in awhile, I would see something shoot off that looked like molten metal. Col. Halt and I both observed that and we watched it. So, we jumped the fence and as we jumped the fence, it disappeared.

Compare it to the illustration that John Burroughs did with the U. K. computer illustrator.

Immediately I knew what I saw.”

Later, Monroe Nevels clarified that he meant the whitish-yellow “rectangular” glow underneath the blue lights in the Burroughs illustration below.

[The bottom glow] looked very close to it, very close. I saw it and I got excited about it. There! Somebody finally drew something that made sense.

To what you had seen?

To what I had seen.

From your and Col. Halt's perspective standing at the edge of the farmer's field looking out at the colored lights of the aerial craft, you had the distinct impression that it rose up a ways and started coming toward you and Col. Halt?

Yes.”

  “What we saw was so fast and it disappeared. We were in awe about where did it go? What did it do? And I looked up and saw the lights and I told Col. Halt, ‘Sir, the lights are up above us.’

We all started looking up and saw the lights. There were three of them. In those three, one was predominant over the other two. It was brighter and looked more like a leader. That one would hover and move around while the other two would be kind of still. Then we began seeing the lights - looked like they were probably about a thousand feet off the ground.

There was very rapid movement. No sound whatsoever! All the cattle in the field quieted down. It was just as still - an eerie feeling because it was very quiet.

Monroe, did you see those thin beams of light come down?

Yes, I did.

Could you please describe in detail what you remember about those beams?

Those beams that came down looked like very faint laser beams. They were pencil-thin. We could see it against the black sky. When we looked out and saw those pencil-thin beams, I told Col. Halt, ‘I believe that something is trying to tap into what we've got.’ I mean what is it they are trying to find out? Because it's obvious that if they shot down to the ground, they had to be doing something - taking photos, penetrating or trying to generate some heat to the ground or whatever the situation was.

 

Lights “Jumped” from Rendlesham Forest
to RAF Bentwaters and Back

The lights would disappear and be gone in a blink. You could blink your eye and look up and they would be gone. Then RAF Bentwaters would announce on their radio back to us, ‘We see it, sir! We see it! It's over us!’

Then when the light disappeared from their side (about 4 miles away), we immediately were able to say, ‘Here it is!’ In other words, it was like it was instantaneous from there (RAF Bentwaters) to where we were (in Rendlesham Forest).

The lights that you could see in Rendlesham Forest with Col. Halt would suddenly disappear and you would simultaneously hear radio reports from RAF Bentwaters that the lights were there. And then when RAF Bentwaters said the lights disappeared, you would see the lights back over where you were in the forest.

Yes. We all had radios and three different frequencies.That night, we heard the Security Police get excited because Col. Halt had his radio. They were getting excited and said, ‘We can't find it!’ And it would be over us.

But it must have seemed very unearthly what you were experiencing.

Sure it was! And I could not explain why you can have something here. If I take a flashlight and move it from Point A to Point B, you're going to see it travel a distance. But what I saw was there was no distance! It was as though they were here and I could blink my eye that quick and the lights would be gone. And there was no sound! It was so eerie that there was no sound. It was instantaneous!

The ability to ‘jump’ immediately from one place to another.

Yes.

And back.

Like the speed of light. And when we got into the site of the forest landing, I went to the spots (tripod depressions) on the ground. If I took a tripod from my camera and put it in the ground, it would not necessarily be even and by the time I set it down, my tripod is going to be deeper in one end than it is in another.

However, on these indentations that we saw, while being on uneven ground in the three different depression locations for the three tripod legs, what we saw was that each one of those tripod indentations were identical in size and shape.

[I'm just realizing that with all these good reports etc. coming out . . . the naysayers seem to be fairly silent. I don't know that I 'emotionally' 'miss' them but it is odd. LOL]

Yes, I think I do. Later after I talked to Col. Conrad, I understand that the audiotape was taken aboard a private aircraft that was flown to Third Air Force by General Gabriel and General ? Or Col. Gordon Williams? for review. I was told that General Gabriel from 3rd Air Force in Germany ...

Who did meet with General Gabriel?

I don't know. All I know is that the only story I was told was that these two Generals flew in, talked to the 81st Wing Commander [ Col. Gordon Williams] and Base Commander [ Col. Ted Conrad] and they took the tape that Col. Halt had and made that night [ Sunday, December 28, 1980 after midnight] and those Generals went back to their respective bases and that's the last I ever heard of it.

I wonder at this stage as we speak in July 2010, thirty some years afterward, what is your own thought today about Col. Halt's statement [ June 25, 2009 press release] that the lights, beams and the craft were ‘extraterrestrial in origin’? [ See Earthfiles Archived 071709 Full Report.]

Well, I don’t know the origin of what happened – I don’t know where it was from. It wasn’t anything that we had that could compete with that and we don’t have that today that I know of. Midnight in the dark so dark you can't see and yet the craft was able to manipulate and get out without breaking tree limbs and crashing.

And jump back and forth between where you were and Bentwaters and back.

You cannot go that fast and we have absolutely nothing that quiet. Where is the technology coming from?

Extraterrestrial technology?

Yes, it had to be from somewhere (else). And never at any time was I called in to higher ups and asked to tell my story. No one ever asked me about my observations, which surprised me.

No one of higher authority - from Gen. Gabriel to Gen. Bazley to Gen. Gordon Williams - no one ever debriefed you, the technician for disaster preparedness, who was out there with two Geiger counters in Rendlesham Forest on December 28, 1980?

Right.”

[LOTS OF STANDARD DISCUSSION much of which has been known before. Worth reading, though]

“Triangular in shape. The top portion is producing mainly white light, which encompasses most of the upper section of the craft. A small amount of white light is appearing from what appears to be the bottom of the craft. At the left side is a bluish light. And on the other side is red light. The lights seem to be molded as part of the exterior of the structure that seemed to be landed on the forest floor.”

Strangely, John Burroughs to this day does not remember seeing Jim Penniston near such a craft. But Burroughs also knows his mind is blocked when he thinks about the lights.

John Burroughs also does not remember Sgt. Penniston having a camera, but Penniston says he took 36 photographs on 35mm B&W film and sketched symbols in his notebook that were engraved into the craft’s shiny, black surface.
