Dostoievsky is a distillation of the work of the Saints and one of his primary sources for his ouvre was the Philokalia.

"Philokalia" = "love of the beautiful." I gather you're referring to the Philokalia of Russian Orthodox tradition, of which Dostoievsky was certainly aware. Indeed, Alyosha (Brothers Karamazov) very much wants to follow the way of the Philokalia, i.e., to live as a monk consecrated to constant prayer, inside the walls of the monastery; but his Elder, Father Zossima forbade this, and sent Alyosha out into the world....

That "Dostoievsky is a distillation of the work of the Saints" strikes me as very likely true. The Marriage at Cana episode simply emanates goodness, beauty, sanctity....

Thank you so much, 0beron, for your insights!

Here’s the just in update from our own FREEPER WEBBOT JOCKEY WITH:

LookingGlass update 2010-08-20 received 08/20/2010 1:45:47 PM PDT

A new thing has popped up on the outside of my “event perimeter” after application of a new “dating” algorithm:

Stolen Election
Vote Fraud
Rebellion
Civil War

My guess is that this new perimeter is now 90 days (the previous was, I thought, 30 days or so) is the USA November congressional election event. I don’t know if it is going to be discussed with greater frequency and emotion, or if it is actually going to happen.

Again, this just popped up in the values.
If I glue it together: Civil War and Rebellion due to Vote Fraud and Stolen Elections in about 90 days.

Always the bearer of good news, aren’t I?

The earthquake and nuclear terror stuff hasn’t changed at all in intensity, but time perimeter-wise, looks like 1/3rd the distance to the election event. In other words, 30 days from now.

Cheers,

Remember, in spite of Cliff High’s pontifications about archetypes etc., NO ONE—at least no one mortal, INCLUDING HIM, REALLY KNOWS WHAT is going on that produces such results.

One or more of you have written asserting that it is the occult etc. etc.

I am not yet convinced that watching cluster patterns of emotional words on the net, is at all connected to the occult.

There are lots of causes and more potential causes for given words to bloom into larger and larger usage on the net.

It is even POSSIBLE that the globalist powers that be have various exotic technologies at their disposal and cause even some major ‘natural’ disasters.

IF so, they and their minions could be talking about such on the net regardless of internal prohibitions about doing so.

It is a young mostly science with a dash of art thrown in, if my sense is remotely accurate.

In any case, GOD declares repeatedly in Scripture to FEAR NOT. TURST IN GOD!

He also says a wise man sees a calamity approaching and prepares.

If anything beyond curiousity, please prayerfully ponder if God would have you do any further prep.

And, of course, he that wins souls is wise—work while there’s day. The night is coming more and more rapidly.

The following articles are . . . dear to my heart for a list of reasons . . . I assure you they are absolutely true as stated . . . the people involved were well known in the same church circles I grew up in.

These are excerpts. The whole articles are available behind the subscribers wall at Linda Moulton Howe's earthfiles.com website at these links [For those seriously interested in the topic, I believe the subscription is one of the better ones on the topic available. I've talked with Linda at some length face to face. NOTE TO all hypocritical, spiteful prissy posting nannies, I DO HAVE WRITTEN permission to post such from her site.]:

[map caption below]
Farmington and Aztec, New Mexico 100 air miles northwest of the Los Alamos National
Laboratory where the atomic bomb was secretly developed in the 1940s. Espanola, the Jicarilla
Apache Indian Reservation, Chama, Tierra Amarilla and Dulce are all areas where many unusual
bloodless, trackless animal mutilations have also been reported since the 1960s.

March 16, 2002  Farmington, New Mexico - Fifty-two years ago on St. Patrick's Day March 17, 1950, citizens in Farmington, New Mexico - then a community of 5,000 people - reported that hundreds of strange, round aerial craft flew over town, seeming to dogfight and play tag at extremely rapid speeds that included 90-degree turns. There were reportedly several waves of fly-overs, including both shiny silver discs and red-orange objects as well. The next day on March 18, 1950, the Farmington Daily Times topped its front page with a large headline that read:

[photo caption of the microfilmed newspaper front page]
Microfilm of March 18, 1950 Farmington Daily Times
front page article reporting that hundreds of silver and reddish-orange discs
had been seen flying repeatedly over the Farmington and Aztec,
New Mexico, area on St. Patrick's Day, March 17, 1950.

[2ndary headline reads: "Crafts Seen By Hundreds Speed Estimated at 1000 M.P.H. Altitude 20,000 feet" BTW, The son of and also the former owner of the newspaper is a good Spirit-Filled Christian friend of Joya's and an acquaintance of mine.]

The speed and altitude had been calculated by Harold F. Thatcher, Director of the Farmington U. S. Soil Conservation Service unit. The March 18, 1950 newspaper article said:

"Fully half of this town's population still is certain today that it saw space ships or some strange aircraft - hundreds of them - zooming through the skies yesterday. Estimates of the number ranged from 'several' to more than 500. Whatever they were, they caused a major sensation in this community, which lies only 100 air miles northwest of the huge Los Alamos atomic installation."

Clayton J. Boddy, Business Manager of the Farmington Daily Times and a former Army Engineers captain in Italy, was one of those who saw the unidentified aerial objects, along with Marlow Webb, Parts Manager at Perry Smoak Chevrolet, who had been a U. S. Navy pilot in WWII and was familiar with airplanes. Mr. Webb later owned Smoak Chevrolet and today, at age 78, remembers the strange discs that flew over Farmington on March 17, 1950.
Interviews:

Marlow Webb

Marlow Webb, Owner, Perry Smoak Chevrolet, Farmington, New Mexico: "I think it was late morning. To the northwest approximately at 70 to 80 degrees above the horizon, a group of shiny - I say shiny objects because I think they were visible only because the sun was reflecting off of them - and I would estimate anywhere from a dozen to a dozen and a half of them seemed to be in formation making erratic course changes. They were not going to the horizon and disappearing. They were basically - oh, I won't say stationary in the sky because they were moving in a good little space up there - but they didn't look like they were on one course going from here to there.

When you say erratic course movements, could you explain that?

Well, normal aircraft would make a curving course change where these seemed to be darting about at - I won't say 90-degree angles - but very sharp angles.

Did they move together the way fish do in a school?

Basically, yes. Yes.

So, they all moved together no matter how erratic the movement?

They didn't keep their same position in the formation, or at least I didn't notice that.

But it would be sort of like a school of fish?

Sort of like a school of fish, yes.

How long did you watch them?

Five minutes or less.

And so they stayed up there for awhile?

Yes.

How many people were with you at the car dealership?

Oh, three or four, maybe.

And everybody was watching?

Oh, yeah. There was no question that the people there could pick them out and see them. It wasn't as though I see something you don't. We all observed it.

From your military background as a pilot, could you compare what you were seeing to anything that you had seen before?

No, I couldn't identify what it was. And I think I gave all the details to the military when they came to investigate it.

When did the military come?

Very shortly thereafter. Again, they asked basically the same questions you are: size, shape, distance, course, speed. It was impossible to judge.

You would infer from those questions that they did not know what had flown over Farmington, either?

No. I agree (they didn't).

So, they were unidentified. And did they make any comments to you about their own concern about these unidentified flying objects?

Not at all. These were interviewers. These were not decision-makers.

In town, among the people who had seen this armada of silver craft going over, what kind of discussions were there back then?

Strictly unidentified flying objects. I heard, or maybe read in the newspaper, that other people had seen other groups later that day."

Another eyewitness also approached by a military interviewer was Clayton Boddy, Business Manager of the Farmington Daily Times. That morning on March 17, 1950, he was showing a couple of Colorado grocery store owners some real estate property downtown when they all watched unidentified aerial objects fly over for nearly twenty minutes. Clayton Boddy is now 85 years old, but still remembers what happened.

Clayton J. Boddy

Clayton J. Boddy, former Business Manager, Farmington Daily Times, Farmington, New Mexico: "It looked like to me like they were silver-like discs going through the air end over end and they were following in a compact group.

In a compact group. And how many do you think you were seeing?

Well, they were extremely high, so I suspect - it's hard to tell - but I imagine there must have been a hundred or so.

OK, and when you say they were going end over end, can you explain that more?

If you were to hold a disc in your hand and just turn it clear over where the top comes to the bottom and the bottom goes to the top, in a circle like that. I thought it was something unusual that I hadn't seen before. I saw something I could not explain.

You had a follow up call from Washington, D. C.?

Yes.

Who was it from and what did they say?

I don't know the gentleman's name. It seemed to me it was from the War Department and told me it was some government agency. He said there is nothing to this. We're running some experiments or something and would prefer if you didn't say anything.

Did you think at the time that the fact that the War Department would bother to call you up to tell you that there was nothing to all those silver discs that you had seen, that that in itself might have been a cover-up by the government at the time?

Well, as I look back on it, it could have been. They probably all thought it was a sleepy little town out west and maybe we were hallucinating! I don't know.

But it appears that if they went to that much trouble to call residents in Farmington, they must have been concerned about something.

I think they were. And, of course, my position with the newspaper at that time was pretty high.

And they were concerned about media attention of these silver discs.

That's right."

John Petty Eaton

Another Farmington eyewitness that morning of March 17, 1950, was Johnny Eaton who was 29-years-old at the time and worked with his father in a real estate office on Main Street. The Farmington Daily Times published a time line about different reports all that day, including "10:30 a.m. - red saucers seen over town."

That must have been the episode that John and his father watched. Not only did they see red-orange discs, but another craft came into view that astonished them.

[continued at the link above with drawings etc.]

[NOTE: HULON PACE in articles below worked for Smoak Chevrolet at the time, IIRC.]

Part 2 - Unidentified Aerial Craft Over
Farmington and Aztec, New Mexico, Around Spring 1949
.
© 2002 by Linda Moulton Howe

http://www.earthfiles.com/news.php?ID=332&category=Real+X-Files

April 17, 2002  Aztec, New Mexico - A month ago on March 16, 2002, I posted an Earthfiles report in Real X-Files about the 52nd anniversary of a huge, fly-over of unidentified silver and orange disks for hours above Farmington and Aztec, New Mexico, on March 17, 1950. The next day, March 18, 1950, the unprecedented aerial event made headlines in the Farmington Daily Times and The Denver Post.

But March 17, 1950 was not the first fly-over the Farmington and Aztec area. One year before in the spring of 1949 - and very likely March also - Hulon and Geneva Pace and their 9-year-old son, Glenn, were renting a house on Lincoln Street in Farmington while their new house was being built. Hulon, who is now 82-years-old, lived with his wife, Geneva, in Farmington until April 2002 when they moved to Tennessee to be closer to their son.

I met Geneva and Hulon in Aztec during a conference there March 22-24, took photographs of them, received a drawing that Hulon did of the silver discs he saw fly over town that spring. He and Glenn distinctly remember a newspaper headline about a crashed disk in Hart Canyon 11 miles northeast of Aztec in what was then the Farmington Times Hustler. I checked with Times librarian, Margaret Mathers, about the date that the Hustler changed to the Farmington Daily Times. She told me the first daily newspaper came out on August 1, 1949.

I asked her what day the newspaper was printed and distributed prior to August 1. She said in 1949 the Hustler came out on Fridays. So, for example if there was another fly-over or crash on St. Patrick's Day March 17, 1949, it turns out that was a Thursday and the story would have been printed the next day, Friday, March 18, 1949. A crashed disk on a national holiday prior to 1950 was discussed by a military officer described in the "Military Voices" chapter of my book, Glimpses of Other Realities, Vol. II: High Strangeness. So, I asked Margaret Mathers to check the back issues of the Farmington newspaper for both March 18 and March 25, 1949. The newspapers archived on microfilm for those dates had these respective headlines: "Legislature Attempts Disenfranchisement of Navahos" and "Navahos Consider Asking for Accredited Schools." The librarian said there was not a single word in either paper about unidentified aerial objects or a crash in Hart Canyon.

But Hulon Pace, retired now, but former shop foreman at Smoak Chevrolet and El Paso Natural Gas in Farmington, remembers that he and his wife, Geneva, and their 9-year-old son, Glenn, all saw a newspaper headline and read the story about a disk coming down in Hart Canyon.

[photo of Hulon and Geneva Pace taken by LMH]

Interviews:

Hulon Pace, Resident of Farmington, New Mexico from 1945-2002 and former shop foreman for Farmington's Smoak Chevrolet and employee for El Paso Natural Gas: "We saw the story in the paper and the wife and I went to the college up here to locate that paper, but we can't find it anywhere. But it's well known throughout the community here that there was a crash site of a saucer out northeast of Aztec.

In Hart Canyon?

In Hart Canyon, right.

If you go back to March of 1949 which appears to be the month and date that Glenn and I and others have talked about, can you remember what you saw with your own eyes in the newspaper?

There was supposedly a UFO crashed in Hart Canyon. They had a write up on it, but I can't remember how it was worded at that time. It's been so long.

Do you remember anything about the headlines, the big words on the newspaper?

I think it just said, 'UFO Crashes In Hart Canyon,' I believe, is the way the headlines was in the newspaper.

Can you explain where you were living at that time that helped you and your wife remember?

We was in a rental on Lincoln Street here in Farmington while we was building a new house.

You would have been in that rental in March of 1949?

Yes.

When you recently went to the library and have tried to find that 1949 newspaper, what did you and your wife talk about in terms of the fact that it doesn't seem to be there anymore in the archives?

We couldn't imagine. At the time we checked all we could check on it and see why it wasn't there and we never could get any information why it didn't show up there. Everybody just seemed to be blank about it. Nobody had any suggestions or whys or wherefores or whatever."

Newspaper Headline About Disk In Hart Canyon

Not only does Hulon Pace and his son, Glenn remember the newspaper headline, but both father and son associate the headline with their own eyewitness sightings of another fly-over of unidentified discs right before the newspaper story. If so, that would mean discs went over the Farmington/Aztec area both in the spring of 1949 and the famous armada of March 17, 1950. Here is Mr. Pace's drawing of the silver discs he saw over Farmington in the spring of what he thinks was the spring of 1949.

Sketch by Hulon Pace on March 22, 2002 of the silver disks he remembers moving
above Farmington for several minutes in the spring of 1948 or 1949, when he and his family
were living in a rental while their house was being built. The next day he and his family
say the Farmington Hustler newspaper had a headline and story about a disk crashing
in Hart Canyon 11 miles northeast of Aztec. Suspected date of sighting was either in 1948
or 1949 on March 17, and Hart Canyon newspaper crashed disc headline on March 18.
To date, all attempts to find an old copy of the Farmington Daily Times front page have been
futile amid rumors that the newspaper editor was pressured by someone in Washington, D. C.,
to get rid of all copies of the newspaper edition headling about crashed
disc in Hart Canyon outside Aztec.

Hulon Pace: "They was playing around like they was dogfighting or something, you know. About five or six is the best I can remember at the time that we saw them and stood there and watched them for ten minutes or so. Then they disappeared off to the northeast.

What were their color and shape?

They was a silver color and kind of shaped like a saucer. They would turn up on their side where the sun would shine on them every once in awhile and you could see them real plain when they turned up on their side. Otherwise, they would just flatten out and you could hardly tell the color of them when they flattened out. But when they turned up on their side, it would be going one direction and then all at once, they would go another direction not even slowing up. It was amazing!

And what gave you the impression of a dogfight?

Well, just the way they were playing around. I don't know if you would call it a dogfight or what. It looked like they were just maneuvering around each other like our planes sometimes would do in a dogfight, just putting on a show or something.

You don't mean that it looked like some of them were fighting with others?

No, they weren't really fighting, just maneuvering is what they were doing. It was amazing as fast as they were going how they could keep from running into each other."

Above Farmington Around 1949

where he lived with his parents, Hulon and Geneva Pace. Glenn
was born on February 17, 1940 and by the spring of 1949, he had a
paper route. Photo courtesy Geneva and Hulon Pace.

Hulon's son, Glenn Pace, is now 62-years-old living and working near Nashville, Tennessee in the music recording business. The same time his father was seeing the dogfight in the spring of 1949, Glenn was at grade school and saw part of the same strange action in the sky.

Glenn Pace, son of Hulon Pace, music and commercial editor, Nashville, Tennessee: "And we come out of school for recess right towards the end of that situation. And we must have seen them for about 30 or 40 seconds that first time.

What did you see with your own eyes?

We saw the formation up there, silvery discs and they made a couple moves together which I thought was really strange. When these things in the air were all moving in unison together.

Like some people have compared it to schools of fish moving.

Yeah, kind of like that. Like they first moved, they were like over the south part of the bluffs there. And they made a move towards the airport which would have been west of Farmington. Then they made a jog that jogged back over kind of towards Bloomfield, but not very - must have been like over 2 or 3 miles east. And then they moved back over the bluffs, they made a jog back over there. And then from there, they bolted toward Durango. They were gone in just a flash. It wasn't more than a few seconds.

You watched see this with your own eyes?

Right. And I had a paper route at that point. I had a huge paper route.

So, you got to see the newspaper article with your own eyes?

Yes, I did. I remember reading the headline and my mom read the whole article to us all in the living room at the dining table. I delivered the papers that day, too, besides reading the article, I delivered papers that was there. And when I rolled it up, it was right there. You could see it when it was rolled up! It's not something that was a figment of my imagination. That article really existed. How in the world they got them all is beyond me!

Glenn Pace, 9 years old, and his friend, Teddy Brock, on Glenn's horse Nibbles in 1949.
The two rode out to Hart Canyon to see where the disk came down that was headlined
in the newspaper. Photo courtesy of Geneva and Hulon Pace.

You rode out to Hart Canyon on horseback and saw with your own eyes jeep tracks?

Truck tracks and stuff. My grandad had a big truck, so I knew what truck tracks looked like in the sand and there were truck tracks out there.

Then, the very next year on March 18, 1950, you were ten years old ...

Yeah, a year later in March of 1950, we were on the playground and we saw, a kid looked up and saw a whole bunch of UFOs up there and said, 'Hey, look at that!' And we looked up and said, 'Wow, that's just like the other ones that we seen.' But there were a lot more of them. They were just, they moved a couple of moves and were just kind of going slow. And then they took off in the same direction again. They went back towards Durango when they left. But now we only saw the one fly-over. Other people reported seeing more than one fly-over.

On that day.

Yeah, on that day."

Government File On Aztec, NM Disk

Beyond these memories, there have also been leaks by military people and others about the discovery of an extraordinary craft near Aztec with details that sound similar to Glenn Pace's childhood memory of what he and his parents saw in the newspaper. I first saw Aztec mentioned on a list of UFOB crash sites on April 9, 1983. I was in the U. S. Air Force Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI) at Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque, New Mexico working on an hour special for Home Box Office.

The man across a desk from me was Richard C. Doty, then a Special AFOSI Agent in the Air Force. He showed me an alleged briefing paper for the President of the United States that included a list of U. S. government retrieval operations of what the document called "unidentified aerial craft" of extraterrestrial origin. Some crash locations I remember listed in the briefing paper were Aztec, Roswell and Magdalena, New Mexico; Kingman, Arizona; and northern Mexico south of Laredo.

The Aztec incident, according to other sources beyond that briefing paper, involved a 99-foot-diameter silver disc with a dome discovered in Hart Canyon eleven miles northeast of Aztec in March 1949.

....

....The caption read: "A computer simulates the disc-shaped craft as it was seen intact on the ground in the actual photograph."

I agreed not to identify the authors at their request and they gave me permission to excerpt from their discussions with a "witness who was a former military officer. While serving, he said he had a special security clearance that enabled him to access a restricted library (prior to 1970). Due to the highly sensitive nature of the information, and possible risk to this individual, no information is provided which could be used to identify him or the location of the base."

The following excerpts are not verbatim, but were compiled from notes after four separate conversations with the military eyewitness.

"Q: What was the occasion in which you viewed documents concerning crashed saucers?
A: While I was stationed at this particular base, ...the materials library was available to those officers with a designated security clearance and I had the appropriate clearance. I was passing time in the library and I discovered a file on the subject of an alien craft and its dead occupants that had been retrieved. The file contained a report, a separate black and white photograph, and a book by Major Donald Keyhoe.

Q: What did you see in the photograph?
A: There was a perfectly intact, circular-shaped craft and it was lying somewhat tilted to one side on the ground in the desert. There did not appear to be a crater or other ground-surface disturbance in the photograph that would indicate a crash, but I could not tell for sure. ...it was stated that the craft was retrieved somewhere near the town of Farmington, New Mexico, prior to 1950. As I could see in the photograph, the material of which the craft was composed was metallic, and resembled brushed aluminum. The report noted this also.

Q: Were there any surface features on the craft at all?
A: It was stated in the report that there were portholes on the cabin part of the craft, but they were not made of any type of glass. I couldn't make out this feature in the photograph.

Q: Did the information reveal what that material could have been?
A: Well, this porthole had a puncture that was the diameter of a pencil; that was the only defect discovered on the entire ship. Our people tried diamond drills, an acetylene torch - everything they could come up with on the porthole where this opening was located, but nothing would break through it. They couldn't enlarge the hole, either. The material was tougher than anything we were familiar with on earth. But they eventually got into the cabin.

Q: Did the report say how they accessed it?
A: Yes, it was described as a chance opening. They had gone over the outside of the craft and could not even find a seam or crack that might indicate the location of a door or other entrance. This led them to focus on the small opening in the porthole. As I mentioned earlier, they used everything they could think of to enlarge this hole, and nothing worked. It was concluded that they would have to somehow gain access through this hole and they eventually did because a door popped open. It appeared from a place where there were no obvious seams or other indications of a door. The report said (referring to the opening and closing of the door) that it was 'almost as if the material of the craft had liquefied and then solidified again,' leaving no clue of the door's location upon closing. If there was a seam, it was so tight it couldn't be observed.

Q: Was there anything in the report that indicated the weight of the craft?
A: Yes, it was apparently composed of a very lightweight material. The report stated that two average men could lift or move the entire ship.

Q: I am especially interested in what these dead occupants were like. Were they described as biological extraterrestrials.A: Well, it said that the two bodies were badly charred. So was the interior of the cockpit of the craft. The report also said that they were about four feet in height. There was no description of their features beyond that.

Q: So, there was no mention of sexual difference?
A: No, no mention of that. But it's interesting that the report said that the clothing wasn't burned at all. It was a one-piece flight suit.

Q: So, there was a description of the fabric?
A: Yes, it was some type of woven fabric and the report said that it had a tensile strength of 800 pounds.

Q: Was there any mention of craft propulsion systems?
A: There was no mention of a propulsion system other than the idea that their technology utilized magnetic or gravitational fields of the planets to travel in space.

Q: Was there anything in the report that indicated the reason for the craft coming down? For example, there have been rumored reports that our military was under orders to intercept and shoot them down. Is it possible that we shot this one down?
A: According to the report, we were not responsible for bringing this craft down. There was mention of a magnetic fault, or opening, or something like that, located in the area where the craft came down. There were three of these faults or openings located in North America: one was located in the Southwest, around the Texas/New Mexico area; one was somewhere in the Carolinas; and one was somewhere in the Northeast sector, but I can't remember exactly where.

Q: Have there been more than one crash?
A: Yes, the report referred to 'crashes' and the Farmington crash information was used to relate general information on similarities with other crashes.

Q: Are you saying that these aliens are not able to control their craft in certain areas?
A: From the report, I learned these areas occur naturally and could possibly interfere with the navigation of these craft. The way I understand it, they use the natural magnetic lines of a planet and a gravity field to move their ships from one place to another. That's how they are able to make near-right angle turns which our jets are incapable of doing. They can fly circles around any of our aircraft.

Q: Was there anything in the report that suggested where the craft and little beings originated, or why they are coming here?
A: No, nothing ... but the report did say that hundreds of alien craft flew over the town of Farmington, New Mexico on the anniversary of this crash. That also corresponded with the celebration of some national holiday. It said that may have been a tribute to the beings that were killed, or they were letting us know by a show of force they had overcome the factor that caused their ships to crash.

. . .

While our technicians worked on the craft out in the desert (trying to gain access), other alien ships would from time to time fly by the site, pausing momentarily to view the scene, perhaps to see if there were any survivors. At no time did they attempt to harm our people.

. . .

Thanks.

Those are people well known to me and dear to my heart.

I’d forgotten that they’d done those interviews.

Never looked them up before.

One of those loved ones from church, interviewed above worked adjacent to the UFO base in Nev and saw them coming and going fairly routinely.

Far tooooo soon for my comfort, ignorance in this area will be far from bliss.

High Strangeness Letters from Viewers

“I found myself standing in the center of the road in a shaft of light
about 5 feet wide, about 6.5 to 7 feet high and it was square-shaped.
The light was clear and pure, the most pure light I have ever seen.” - Idaho Dairy Truck Driver

July 9, 2010  Albuquerque, New Mexico - Toward the end of June 2010, I received a long, hand-written letter via U. S. mail and a typed letter by FAX. After reading each one, I put them in a special file to share with Earthfiles viewers. If anyone reading these accounts has had similar experiences or has insights about what has occurred, please email:  earthfiles@earthfiles.com. All requests for confidentiality are honored.

1)  8-Page Hand-Written Letter, June 15, 2010, Crawford, Texas
[ Don't have home internet service to email, so am hand writing
because this might hopefully be helpful for something.]

“My name is ---  and I have lived in Crawford, Texas, the last 18 years and have had several UFO sightings that I would like to share with you. The last one was during the summer of President Bush's last term as president. My husband and I always loved to watch for President Bush's helicopter whenever we would see the flash on our local TV channels that the President had landed at the TSTC Waco Airport (Texas State Technical College) and then we would go outside and look for all the helicopters to come by over our house from his ranch. They they would come back over with the President back from TSTC - it was always exciting to watch.

This time it was around 10 PM and dark and as we were outside looking up towards the east, I suddenly noticed a white ball of light right across the street in the pasture at tree level - just silently hovering. [ Editor's Note: No size of light given by Crawford writer, but often other sighting estimates are 6 to 12 inches in diameter.] I yelled at my husband to look at it as I started walking towards it and as I did, the light came around this tree to look at me. It was simply a ball of light. There was no 'body' of any kind. When the light did that, it scared us and we started back to our house and it followed us into our yard and we ran inside. I tried to observe it through the windows and I watched it float around as if checking us out.

I watched the light go over to the neighbor's yard  and when I could no longer see it, I got one of my dogs and went outside to see what the light was doing. When it saw me, the light again started coming towards me. Then suddenly the light stopped still - just as the President's helicopter got close by. I could hear it in the distance. The ball of light then seemed to go hide under a tree branch and wait.

Then just as the three helicopters came flying over, the light began to follow directly under one of the helicopters, staying at tree top level. I watched this continue until the helicopters got out of sight and I assumed the object followed President Bush to his ranch. My husband and I were in total disbelief at what we saw and frankly did not know what to do or to whom to report it. We thought about calling 911 or Sheriff's Department/Crawford Police, but what do we say? - 'A ball of light was following the President.' They would think we were crazy!

I talked to a young military man a short time later that had just done a 2-year tour in Afghanistan and asked him about it being a drone of some type. He didn't think so - said he never had heard or seen a ball of light without a body of some kind.

Another weird incident was December 6, 2000. Right after the first Presidential election where George Bush was elected. It was right before dark at that time of year - 6 PM. I was at my computer and one of my kids was talking to me and they suddenly screamed, 'Oh, my God! What is that?!'

We ran outside to get a closer look. It was a huge, green, glowing ball of light. It appeared to be pulsating or 'breathing.' It went across the horizon at a controlled speed. It seemed to stop in mid-air and then descend down to a landing - my best guess being at or close to the President's ranch. My daughter was hysterical and I was dumbfounded. Could not believe what I had just observed.

A short while later, the regular programming on a local TV channel I was watching was interrupted by a report of a possible 'plane crash' - and strange lights. The news said they would  report back 'on the scene and to stay tuned.' Later a reporter came on with a live interview talking to a retired Baylor professor. He reported the same description that my daughter and I saw - adding that it clearly was NOT a comet or a meteor or a distressed plane. Then the interview was cut short. The reporter did say that military was everywhere and that they would break in later with more information. However, there were no more reports and at the 10 PM nightly news, it was treated basically as a joke. I didn't see or hear any more about it?!?

I saw this green object again a few months later as I was putting gas in my car at the Exxon station at the corner of FM185 and Hwy 6 around 9 PM. It was witnessed by several people. I was looking towards the Lake Waco Airport direction when a large green, glowing ball of light swooshed/streaked by and then disappeared. The lady filling her SUV next to me screamed and ran over to me and grabbed me. Then after a few minutes, it was as if nothing had happened!?

My sister saw a similar green, glowing object at 3 AM last October when she was coming home in the early morning from a late night party. She was on that same FM 185 going towards Crawford and saw this green light. She said it was hard to tell exactly where it was, but it seemed to be very close to my house, which I mentioned earlier on the path the President use to take from the TSTC Airport frequently by helicopter. My sister said it was an oblong shape and was seemingly changing shape as she continued to watch it. Then the green light vanished.

My first encounter happened in October 1994. It was probably 6 PM or so. I was washing dishes and had the kitchen window open. My husband at the time had just walked outside and suddenly stated, 'Oh, my God!' It was the tone/sound of his voice that made me drop what I was doing and rush outside to see him staring up. So, naturally I looked up to see what he was looking at when I saw what I saw. I had to fight myself to stay calm and not pass out or collapse. I was enveloped/over come with a strong sense of dread is the only way to explain it. I asked my husband, 'Are we really seeing what I think we are seeing?' He would not answer. It was as if he was frozen in shock. I tried to get him to run back in the house, but he would not respond. I tried to shake him/pull him - nothing worked. It was like he could not hear me or see me. My husband just kept staring up at these three spacecraft for lack of a better name. They were three in a triangle formation.

[PIC OF LETTER PORTION INCLUDING SKETCH--AVAILABLE AT LINK]

I was SO scared and remembered my 10-year-old daughter was back in the house. I suddenly feared for her safety and what she would think should she see these things. I didn't know what to do. I just felt the need to get away from them, but before I could even get back in the house, I saw three more pop up in the sky and then three more.

I ran in the house and grabbed the cordless phone and called my parents 12 miles away in Speegleville, Texas. My sister answered and I said, 'I know this sounds crazy, but I am standing in my doorway looking at a UFO/spacecraft and I don't know what to do.' She could tell by my voice that something real was happening - not a joke and about that time, one appeared directly over my house the size of a football field or larger. By that time, my daughter had walked to the door and saw the spacecraft and started crying. My sister told me to grab my daughter and 'get the hell out of there and to drive towards Mom and Dad's place and she would get our parents and meet me on the road as fast as possible.

I remember a ball of light seemed to follow us to the FM 185. I drove like a maniac trying to get away with my daughter screaming the entire time. A few miles down the road, I met my parents and sister on the road and it was almost dark. All that could be seen by then were several distant light formations in the sky. My father called the Waco Airport, the Sheriff's Department and the local TV stations. All reported dozens of phone calls about strange lights in the sky. One person at one of the TV stations claimed there was some kind of closed meeting with top military from all over the world going on at Ft. Hood that night. But I didn't hear anything about such a meeting.

The next day at work (Texas government agency), a co-worker who owned several hundred acres at Axtell, Texas, said a neighbor was riding her horse way out in her pasture and witnessed a strange craft and it frightened her. The evening before close to the time I was seeing all the craft, my daughter would not come home for four days because she was so frightened. I thought about selling my place and moving, but after hearing my co-worker say her neighbor saw the UFOs above Axtell, I figured it did not matter where I live.

. . .

. . . We had ridden about 1/2 mile from our house when suddenly the horses started snorting and acting crazy. Then we saw this white ball of light - probably five to six feet off the ground hovering and zig-zagging through this heavily wooded area. However, it was winter and many of the trees were bare and we could see it pretty well. It was as if the ball of light was looking for something. Then it started coming towards us, and the horses went absolutely crazy. We had to turn them around and head back home. The ball of light suddenly vanished and we made it safely home with the horses, but they stayed panicky for hours.

STORY 2:

2)  3-Page Typed Letter by FAX, June 19, 2010, Caldwell, Idaho

“Attached is an experience I had many years ago. I am an 81-year-old white male. I was born the oldest of 10 children. I don't type on a computer and don't write long hand too good. I just wanted someone to know my story. I am sending this to you because I love Coast to Coast. This happened 40 to 45 years ago, but I relive the experience today as if it were yesterday. I will never forget the light. I originally wrote the following down in December 1993.

The story I am about to explain happened in July 1966. This story is true to its finest detail. I will always remember it as long as I live. Today as I write this, I am a 37-year-old white male. I am sober and never had an alcohol problem. I have never been on drugs of any kind.

I am employed by a dairy company in Caldwell, Idaho, and have worked here since November of 1960. I am a route delivery man and have two home delivery routes for the purpose of delivering dairy products to the homes of customers.

It's the middle of the week on a Wednesday in July 1966 and my route starts on South 10th in Caldwell. I have boarded my delivery truck. It s very early morning hours and everything is normal as it had been for years. I liked the new truck I had been issued because it was a white colored standup delivery van. It is powered by a 4-cylinder engine and is exceptionally quiet to operate. At a stopped position, it was difficult to hear if it was running. This was a very good plus for my customers for early morning deliveries.

The morning was black, dark, no moon visibility at all and it was warm and still. Going  south on 10th Street, I took a dog leg left through the golf course to my first stop. I pulled to a stop on the left side of the street headed the wrong direction, which is the way I had delivered all the time. I took the half-gallon of 2% milk, which was their Wednesday order. I put the milk on the front step. On my return to the truck, I became aware that the morning seemed to be exceptionally dark. No moon and very, very quiet. I noted that there were no birds making their morning sounds, no insects or bugs. I also noted there was no traffic. I had seen no vehicles since leaving the plant.

The morning was darker and more silent than I believe I had ever experienced. I had parked my delivery truck on the wrong side as most of my deliveries were there and I could move that way along the street. The homes in this area were higher quality and their cars were not parked on the street. Most of them were garaged. Therefore, the streets were empty of parked autos. I returned to the truck and recorded the sale. Across the street was my second stop. That house was about 150 feet away from my truck.

I don't know if I stepped out of the truck into the light? Or if the light just appeared as I got to the center of the road? I think the road is about 40 to 50 feet wide. I found myself standing in the center of the road in a shaft of light. The shaft was about 5 feet wide, about 6.5 to 7 feet high and it was square-shaped. The light was clear and pure, the most pure light I have ever seen. I have never seen a light that clear and pure ever in my life. The shaft was square and straight as a string and I could see that it originated straight down 10th Street through the golf course straight past the dog leg to about Grant Street. That id a distance of about 1,500 yards and the pure, clear light was straight and square the whole way.

I stood in this shaft of light wondering what was happening. First, I thought I would finish the delivery and come back to see if the shaft of light was still there. Thinking better of it, I stood still. The light was not a vehicle nor did it move in any way as a vehicle would. Also, the silence was deafening and it seemed I was all alone in this great, big world. Somehow I didn't feel that at this point I was too much in danger. The light was not warm nor was it cold, but pure. It reminded me of the 'welding' color with no movement at all. To my knowledge, I had never heard of such a square shaft of light that was this square for this long and this pure.

Then I took my left arm and extended it outside the wall of the shaft of light. To my astonishment, I found the light never extended to lighten the arm outside the 'wall' of the shaft. The left arm portion outside the wall of the light was black as night. The shaft of light was as different as if the shaft were built from a solid substance. The light never illuminated anything outside of its definite structure. Neither my truck nor any part of the road had any lighting outside of this shaft of light. Up until that time, I had faced the source of light. Therefore, I turned to look behind me and found that the light extended 30 to 40 feet beyond me. I also realized at that point that my body did not even cast a shadow.

An interesting crop circle . . . I think it is in LMH's public area.

August 22, 2010  Yatesbury, Wiltshire, England -

Mysterious crop circles associated with balls of light moving in the air across fields have been reported in England since at least World War I. The modern age of crop formations emerged in the late 1970s around Warminster, England, and evolved through the 1980s from single circles to simple patterns of a few circles to the astonishing geometries, fractals and other complex patterns in the 1990s and through the first decade of the 21st Century.

In England, most of the modern crop circle patterns emerged repeatedly each summer in Wiltshire County's Vale of Pewsey. At the heart of the Vale is a group of hills named Milk Hill, Adam's Grave, Knap Hill, Golden Ball Hill and Woodborough Hill.

[pics at the link]

. . .

Immediately when I walked into the formation, I was struck by one thing that I have been looking out for that I have occasionally seen in formations that I would consider genuinely made by a mysterious force. That is the seed heads on mature wheat out in the standing crop of the field, the seed heads curl over because the seed heads are very heavy relative to the very thin top of the stalk, which the seed head rests on. This happens because the plants are dying after their summer growth and the seed heads curl over and go into a rigid position.

When I walked into the Whitefield Hill formation the morning of August 4, 2010, everywhere I could see, most of the seed heads in the flattened crop were straight relative to the heavily curled seed heads in the standing crop. When I tried to manipulate those straight seed heads in the flattened crop with my fingers – I tried to bend them to the same curled position as the standing crop – the straight seed heads would just snap off because they were dry and completely rigid in that position as opposed to the standing crop where the seed heads are curled and completely rigid.

That seemed to be something that was physically impossible to achieve from a mechanical point of view. But there it was over that entire 250-foot-diameter formation in the flattened crop area.

[pic shows formation wheat heads straight, standing wheat heads curved]

Close-up on abnormally straight seed heads in the flattened Whitefield Hill
wheat formation visited by Charles Mallett on August 4, 2010, the morning after
the formation was first reported. Image © 2010 by Charles Mallett.

I’ve had some of those seed heads from the standing crop laid out in my garden for the last week and they are exactly the same as when I took them from the field and put them there with curled seed heads. None have straightened out lying on the ground. So, now the standing crop seed heads are still curled and the ones from the formation are still straight. So nothing happens to the seed heads when they are down – they just stay as they were when they went down.

WHAT EXACTLY DID FARMERS SAY TO YOU ABOUT THESE VERY STRAIGHT SEED HEADS?

I’ve spoken to two farmers about the condition of the seed heads. In both cases, the farmers told me, ‘I don’t know how that could happen.’ I was also talking with an Australian farmer here visiting crop circles a couple of days ago. He farms 20,000 acres of wheat and has farmed for 30 years. I showed him the wheat samples of straight and curled I had taken from the formation. I said, ‘Here are the plants from the standing crop and here are the plants from the flattened crop. Can you explain this to me?’ He didn’t know either.

I don’t think the straight seed heads in flattened crop has occurred much before now, but I have seen it several times in 2010. It’s almost as if the circle making force is showing a kind of test of genuine formations because the time period for really curled and dry wheat seed heads lasts only about two to three weeks each year – a short time.

This constitutes in my mind a physical proof that something happened at Whitefield Hill that was not mechanical man-made.

IT’S ALMOST AS IF THE PHENOMENON IS SAYING, ‘WE CAN STILL DO THINGS THAT YOU HUMANS CANNOT.’

Right, and in 2010 for the first time in nearly 20 years, we’ve had a lot of simple circles across the landscape. I’ve looked at several of these this year and they really are kind of retro-circles that hark back to the mid-1980s. They are deeply fascinating.

The simplicity of these simple circles have physical attributes that people could not physically produce because they are far from tramlines, but there is no evidence of tracks through the wheat to get to the circles.

[QX: IIRC, SOMEONE HEREON was ranting sometime recently about absolutely no crop circles without tramlines. I knew he was wrong then. Here's some confirmation.]

Mysterious Lights and Helicopters WHAT ABOUT REPORTS OF MYSTERIOUS LIGHTS AROUND CROP FORMATIONS THIS YEAR IN ENGLAND?

There have been some very interesting mysterious lights seen this season and I’ve seen some very intriguing video of various types, sizes and shapes of orbs. I’ve also seen some very interesting video clips of really curious military helicopter activity in and around the Silbury Hill area and out towards Adam’s Grave out toward Alton Barnes. Very unusual flying and not typical of military training that happens here.

One piece of video in particular I find pretty intriguing videotaped from Milk Hill by Winston Keech. There was also intense military helicopter activity in the area that had been going on for several weeks. There were helicopters hovering near Silbury Hill only four to five feet above the ground, in one case up to three hours and completely stationary in that hovering position!

I spoke to a couple of pilots I know about that low, stationary, helicopter hovering in particular and they confirmed that was not regular military helicopter training. There had to be something going on. The piece of video I’m talking about shows a ball of light on infrared video rising from the Milk Hill field. It is a large, bright sphere comes up quite high and then veers off to the left. As this light rises, there is helicopter activity to the right. You can see flashing light on the video that seems to be going after the ball of light that flies off to the left very quickly as if the choppers had been waiting or expecting for the light and took chase. Really strange! For the last few weeks, the helicopter activity over the fields has been intense and curious to the point where I have begun to wonder if something big is going to happen?”

Winston Keech: “Here's wide shot at 10 speed in infrared from Milk Hill at 12:03 AM on July 7, 2010. The ball of light (BOL) emerges from the ground at the bottom of Milk Hill field and then two Lynx military helicopters straight away are vectoring towards it. They are the two flashing lights approaching from the right (each was only showing a flashing belly light). The ball of light raced off towards Salisbury and left the helicopters 'standing' behind. If you look carefully, you will see the light vanishing over the horizon a couple of seconds after the choppers close - in real time about 20 seconds - and the horizon is about 20 miles away. The Lynx choppers were doing around 100 to 110 mph, so the BOL went from slow to maybe 600 mph in a couple of seconds. Quite impressive. This BOL was not visible to the naked eye. It was infrared only (giving off heat, but not giving off light). This completely rules out any form of Chinese lantern explanations given to British media by authorities every time there are one or more unidentified aerial lights that make news. Was the ball of light trying to draw the patrolling choppers away from Adam's Grave?
