You overlook the fact that God uses people to oppose and confront, and yes with passion and anger. God Himself speaks of His anger, so to hold all Christians to just the lovey dovey approach is not wise nor is it always the way the Lord works thru people.

There are those called by Him to “fight” for the faith....and against the wiles of the devil. When Christ cleared the temple area He did not say excuse me nor did he gently tip over the “tables”.....he cried out and that with a whip in His hand. He called them “thieves”....because that is what they were and what they were doing.....so too those who do the bidding of counterfeit Christianity and their leader who is the “Father of lies”...

Soft hearted people have a difficult time understanding those called to such a mission. They always will. But likewise those who have been called as such have difficulty understanding why the family of believers aren't doing more against the foe.

Some are called to break down the barriers and walls, others to build those up in the faith. Just like EMTS in an emergency situation are yelling and carrying on ..... and then transport those to the hospital where others see then to the healing. Do not mistake Gods use of people for that which He has called them too. Especially those Called to be on the front lines of the battle....where it can be a bloody mess and injuries occur to both sides....Truth will always be fought and that battle is fierce......given he who is the Father of lies and the tactics he uses we should not fear nor be hesitant to dispel his lies in the ‘Power” and might of the Lords’ Spirit.

I do? I don't think I do. I am aware of this. I also know that God uses murders and kidnappers to accomplish his Will. It is not necessarily the case that being a means by which God accomplishes his will is good for the means. It didn't work out so well for Judas. Paul in more than one place talks about how his manner of life and preaching, though they may be effective for others, may possibly lead to a bad end for him.

God Himself speaks of His anger, so to hold all Christians to just the lovey dovey approach is not wise nor is it always the way the Lord works thru people.

I am not, have not, do not, will not hold all Christians to just the lovey-dovey approach.

I am left wondering if anybody will answer the questions I asked or even read my posts before disagreeing with them and telling me what I overlook and don't know.

I think one of the reasons I am suspicious of those with a greatly above average PPM angry, abusive, confrontative posts is that many of them do not seem to be willing (or able?) to respond to the actual point made by the person to whom their words are directed.

AND there seems to be an attraction to theory over observation. That is theoretically God can save this or that person by means of a needlessly abusive interaction. However, I don't see that happening here on FR. And if someone displays a massive ignorance of what I believe and an unwillingness to understand it, I just walk away.

When the person who has done so turns and says, "Well if GOd wants him to be saved, my behavior won't make any difference," not only is that kind of thought entirely absent from Paul's writing, but it is, as I say, a license to be irresponsibly (because they outcome is God's "fault," not the abusers) "as nasty as they wanna be."

So it sure LOOKS, as I said, like the U, I, and P of tulip are used as permission to be irresponsible.
