Now I can't say for C but when talking to lds and you can provide links to/words of lds leaders and what has been said in the past and currently, what usually comes back is “hater, distorter, out of contexter, et el”. These actions would lead one to believe that these lds are in fact embarrassed or uniformed as to what is being taught and has been taught.

These actions would lead one to believe that these lds are in fact embarrassed or uniformed as to what is being taught and has been taught. CC accused Mormons of lying about their beliefs out of embarrassment. Lying is a far more serious moral failing than ignorance, in my opinion.
Regarding statements of past church leaders, I would point out that Mormons might not draw the same lessons from such statements that you insist they must. Nor are they obligated to do so.
