However, most RC’s are skillful about such dances and hopscotching across criteria, standards, values etc. . . . particularly when contending with Proddys.

I think it’s part of the

all’s fair in love, war and contending with Proddys

Backatcha, doubled!

For one thing, when one wing of "Proddys" attacks us from one side, soon another wing attacks us from another. So they can delegate the Protestant, non-Catholic inconsistency.

For another, I have already adduced how today on this issue, the coming of Christ makes an OT injunction or description of God void, and yesterday on another injunction or description the OT has no bearing. But no account of the distinction is made.

!!!TRADITION!!!

NO question about it, "Fiddler on the Roof" is a great show.

I guess I’m missing something here.

Just what traditions of Protestants are you guys talking about?

I don’t know of any traditions that Protestants have the supersede Scripture or are even considered on par with it.

Yes, that's correct....traditions can and do get in the way of truth and Christ spoke of these as so. People hold traditions fast in their grip...they do comfort or make one feel special so in putting these aside there is a fear of loss of the familiar. Not realizing these traditions can actually stop the otherwise blessings God would have them know. Like a choice between better or best...some do settle for just better. In other cases the traditions bind a person and they cannot experience the freedom in Christ he gives. But dancing is done...the two step continues...and on occasion some decide they don't want to dance anymore...then they are “still before God” and find His peace, strength and freedom.
