Then explain it to me. How does that reply ("truth through an eyedropper") answer the question I asked?
Go back and re-read the Millet statement logos. Then you may start becoming enlightened about my answer.
D&C 132 not withstanding - there is absolutely no evidence that Joseph Smith EVER got approval from his wife Emma for his dozens of other 'wives'. Yet smith continued to violate the church code - he created (via revelation) - by continuing in polygamy. His missionaries to England were inner circle and aware of his actions - yet told the English that polygamy wasn't practiced, but was indeed forbidden in mormonism.
Book of Commandments (the predecessor of the Doctrine & Covenants) which contained the following statement: "Inasmuch as this church of Christ has been reproached with the CRIME of fornication, and polygamy: we declare that we believe, that one man should have one wife; and one woman, but one husband, except in case of death, when either is at liberty to marry again." (Section C1, 251). This was approved as doctrine the same year that smith married Fanny Alger.
Why would the lds church cover up smith's polygamy for years and years?
Why has Official Mormon histories have omitted references to Joseph Smith's drinking and use of tobacco?
Why do the Mormons' official publications remove all references to Joseph Smith's activities as a professional con man?
Lets see how well you are with an eyedropper logos.
