Please note that I had placed a "?" at the end of the sentence - clarifies the context a great deal.
If you think the Christian spiritual classics represent the wisdom of man and not the wisdom of God, then we don't have much common ground on which to debate.
Christian spiritual 'classics' and the degree to which they represent the wisdom of God is a personal value - not a universal foundational 'truth'. Fact is, there are many points embedded within your cited sources that I disagree with substantially on a theological basis. Therefore, I do not hold their 'wisdom' as equal to that found within the Bible itself.
And if you think insulting and denigrating the writings of the Christian spiritual masters does not represent indiscreet zeal, then you are in need of help I cannot provide.
OK, lets be very specific and frank here Dr. as you are making a very serious claim in this sentence. Show me where in my posts here I specifically "insulting and denigrating" the masters. So if you want to make that accusation - please back it up with a citation from me. If my questioning of their authority has produced in you this respones, then you have provided an example of ". . a lesson on the thread topic ".
A case of “physician heal thyself” perhaps?
