Thank you Diamond - elegantly described, although I can't claim it wasn't so elegantly designed in my mind lol.
Amen!
With a CAPITAL "C"; yes.
With a lowercase "c"; no.
We know what catholic means vs Catholic.
Someone had obscured their minds with TRADITION; perhaps?
You are just SEW divisive!
They fit the profile!
Not many Arizonan illegal immigrants are GERMAN!
So if her powers are as much of the catholic literature professes then why did Christ place Mary under Johns care? as Queen she could command those under her to serve her....but of course Mary had no following and that while she was alive....further she was not raised from the dead as Christ was. She died and is gone to be with Christ as all saints and believers do...nothing more, nothing less.
However, Those who love and adore Mary as something more than she was will not be dislodged from their faith in her and what they believe she can do for them as the entitiy they seek...be it the salvation of their souls, an entity to pray to, or the belief she intercedes for them to the throne of Grace, anymore than Mormons will be dislodged from their belief in Joseph Smith, or other religions who place undo emphasis on man/woman rather than Christ alone.
Unfortunately Christ is made to share His Kingship, His throne, His worship, His adoration, His salvation with others He never asked nor commanded us to do. It is His throne and “all” has been placed under Him alone. God said that and I believe Him over any church or dogma that declares otherwise.
I guess you know about Joseph Smith's destruction of the printing press and private property.
It appears your complaint about my tactics is a bit misdirected.
Why teh aversion to answering a simple question?
After an answer; I'll get to the GODDESS part.

So when you say
Then those JEWISH scribes went to a HELL of a lot of trouble to be sure that the WORD was COPIED down right when they made new scrolls!
You don't mean Jewish scribes, you mean, "the sample of Jewish scribes which I can use to support my contention"?
Some of you guys are funny.
this is good......
You are missing the point.
The fact that the comma appears in the Vulgate says that the trinitarian discussion was already in full bloom. That Tertullian used the word trinity says it was a discussion then. The trinitarian discussion is the topic here, and showing that it goes back to the beginning of the church.
Which simply makes all other biblical texts clearly to be taken in a trinitarian light.
It has been said when a speaker speaks to the choir on what he perceives to be His message from God he is oftentimes addressing himself as well....the best speakers for God acknowledge this truth.
Short interlude here.....blazing temperatures going down to 84 and dropping as storm approaches here in Western Pa......dark skies hiding the sun bring sweet relief!
thank God!
So, in the OT God's getting angry is expressed as his nose grew hot. We actually, this may surprise you, do not think God has a nose OR that it gets hot. Your mileage may vary.
Scripture says IHS is King. Scripture says Mary is His mother. In the world where noses grow hot, the King's mother is called Queen. QED.
And while we will never know if Mary could or would command the beloved disciple to care for her, she did not need to speak, because the King spoke, and the cause was concluded.
as Queen she could command those under her to serve her
Those who have read what I actually wrote will have noticed that I said Mary, as , so to speak, "Queen Mother" would have no power of her own to command.
I just explained one of the meanings of "Queen" and it was immediately ignored! This part of your counter-argument does not address what I wrote. It misses me entirely!
I will pass over your gloomy prophecy about what will happen to those who read the arguments against which they are arguing, and go directly to
Unfortunately Christ is made to share His Kingship, His throne, His worship, His adoration, His salvation with others He never asked nor commanded us to do. It is His throne and all has been placed under Him alone.
And once again we see arguments aimed at contentions that are never made. First, all the redeemed are to be kings and priests. Does that mean IHS is made to share his kingship? Is Revelation mistaken?
Second not only did I never at all say that Mary was somehow over God, (any more than I am when He grants my prayer) but I took pains to say that everything she has comes from God.
Why don't you get back to me when you want to disagree with something I actually did say?
Not a defense...rather opinion..which any are certainly free to express...and I do appreciate....but I am looking for scripture support which would support the text Quix posted because those statements clearly elevate Mary beyond that of being Christ’s mother.
.....and still you are not defending ‘the text’ Quix presented and which are stated from catholic authors.
Now I will be interested in an argument which spins her being a goddess (any more than the redeemed shall be gods) out of the denial that she is a goddess.
