You may well be right. I actually don't care if I do get banned. The dysfunction just reeks. It's not put up with on the other boards. The RF truly is a ghetto with a unique set of mores, I guess. Law of the jungle or some such.

And, it's a shame; because, just in the short time I have been back in here, I have re-encountered some good old FRiends and begun to make some new ones. And seen some actual civilized exchanges...

Well, many of us care if you stay. Getting banned for a noble cause is one thing, but over trash, never. If you read what that outburst was all about it makes it clear that we are not dealing with sanity.

I was asked in #1525 by another Freeper "how would you propose He made Himself and His will known to us?" and I replied "Any way he saw fit."

This prompted the colorful grandstanding tirade in #1525 and #1537! Can you believe that? Clearly we are not dealing with anything rational.

The RF truly is a ghetto

When they first proposed setting up the Religion Forum, I was one of the few FReepers who vociferously protested forcing religious discussion into a ghetto.

Now that we're stuck in this ghetto, its gotten so bad that if we want to have a decent discussion unmolested by the bigots, we have to designate the thread with a CAUCUS designation.

Its a shame the FreeRepublic has aped the rest of the liberal world in this regard.
