"Obviously the "fruits" of the HS are not evident in all believers."
I disagreed with that remark and asked how you knew your statement was true and you replied...
"It's obvious in everyday life."
How is it obvious?
Do you see love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control ("fruits" of the Holy Spirit) in every Tom, Dick and Harriette who claim to be Chrisitians? I don't.
But when I was in Japan I say a lot of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control in people who were pagan Shintoists, or just plain atheists.
Christians, like many other self-rigtheous religious gfroups, like to talk the talk, thump their chest, toss around their religious pride, and show remakrable lack of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control is you just scratch the surface.
