There are myriad of churches you need to avoid. I heard so many sermons about tithing in the pentecostal, evangelical and baptist churches I have attended in the past.
Call me crazy - which I’m sure you will do - but as far as I’m concerned the Holy Bible is perfectly clear on the subject - it’s the only area where God tells us to try him to see if He will not open the windows of Heaven and pour us out a blessing . . .There’s also something about robbing God which is no small issue.
Someone posted that the Old Testament writings are now defunct on this subject, having been superseded by the New Testament, but I disagree.

AND I HAVE NOT HEARD A SINGLE ONE IN OVER 17 YEARS of attending those same type of churches. Neither has my husband and his family are Hard Shell Baptists.

Well not completely, we are still directed to lead the lost back to him, but that takes a different approach than defending the faith from the attacks of the LDS does.

Since then I've been to two Baptist, two non-denominational and one calvary Chapel and only one even passes a basket. And I'm an official memeber of one.
You disagree because you apparently don’t understand the law vs. grace or basic bible passages outside what LDS church tells you.

NOT A SNOWBALL”S CHANCE IN HELL. I am not going to let the LDS waltz into Hell on the heels of Joseph Smith without putting up a fight. I love you (and all Mormons) too much to adopt a ‘can’t we all just get along’ attitude. The LDS have been lied to, deceived, and blinded by Satan and I, for one, am a Soldier of Christ who will fight for them.

A ‘privilege and honor’ that is REQUIRED to get a Temple Recommend. That isn’t a privilege that is spiritual blackmail.
Name them and what they actually said. Again your professions "where I used to attend" is really suspect.
