Nowhere is it implied what their eternal fate was. If they were true believers in Jesus who sinned, they'll be in heaven right now.
If they were just playing at being followers of Christ, well, they're doomed to hell.
I'm a believer who sometimes lets greed get the best of me and I fail so many times, but I know I'm going to heaven forever.

This is a very apt decsription of the LDS. They ‘play’ at being Christians. They are like 5 year olds playing ‘house’. They say the ‘right’ things, they ‘do’ the right things, but their motivations and beliefs are all wrong.
