As a fellow elder, let me suggest that you calm down and act like an elder. Since you are an elder in a Presbyterian Church, this question should be easy to answer. Based on your theology, did your Mormon friend die in a state of salvation? As an elder in a Presbyterian Church, you must know that your church and every other orthodox Christian Church holds that Mormonism is a damnable heresy. If you answer that question honestly, it makes the tragedy of your friend's death even worse. It is a fate that we are trying to prevent other Mormons from suffering. How horrifying it must be on Judgement Day to have Jesus say "Depart from me. I never knew you."

There was a time American Christians knew that there was a time for handholding and singing kymbaya and a time to take up the mantle of the Christian Solider and defend the faith.
Sadly the latter is becoming a lost art at the very time in our history it is needed most, when Christianity and all that is right and good and moral is under the most egregious of attacks from with in and with out.
It is not a coincidence that two of the most vapid of the Evil one's “religions”, socialism and Islam are descending upon us even as we speak.
