Here's a pretty good picture of how "loving" the mormon jesus is...
In the Book of Mormon, Jesus brought death and destruction with him to the Cross. In 3 Nephi, Chapters 8 and 9, it details the events testifying of Christ's crucifixion. It describes the desolation of the great city of Zarahemla by fire, and the city of Moroni "did sink into the sea and the inhabitants thereof were drowned... the earth was carried up upon the city of Mornihah...there was great and terrible destruction in the land southward......terrible destruction in the land northward....the highways were broken up....many great and noble cities were sunk and many burned and many shaken till the buildings thereof had fallen to the earth.....all these great and terrible things were done in the space of three hours."
3 Nephi, Chapter 9, tells of further wrath as the Lord also destroyed the cities and inhabitants of Gigal, Onihah, Mocum, Jerusalem, Gadiandi, Gadiomnah, Jacob, Gimgimmo, Jacobugath, Laman, Josh, Gad, and Kishkumen. (a total of 16 major cities) Who did all this killing to testify of our Lord's atonement on Calvary?
3 Nephi 9:15 reveals the murderer of approximately 2 million innocent inhabitants of the Book of Mormon lands, "Behold, I am Jesus Christ the son of God. I created the heavens and the earth and all things that in them are." He adds, (in verse 21), "behold, I have come unto the world to bring redemption unto the world to save the world from sin." I guess the easiest way was to kill almost every living creature; at least the vast majority of that portion of his "other sheep have I." This Jesus was a god of wrath, exercising some form of Old Testament Judgment by the one who was supposed to be the end of the law.
The Biblical Jesus cried out to His Father, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing."

Folks if any of you really want to know the truth about what members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints believe then be sure to not look only here or other anti-Mormon sites.
By all means, read every word of this, then if you really want to know if this is on the up and up, investigate it on your own. Put forth a little effort and you can find every single one of these “Reasons” addressed. They are nothing new.
If you sincerely do so, you will be very enlightened to see just how deceptive the anti-propaganda is. You do want the truth don’t you? Show it. Put forth the effort. Find out for yourself.
And the LDS even take “God is no respecter of persons” out of context and twist it.

Well the Mormon Jesus is just a guy, and doesn’t even rate as a full blown god. Unlike many good Mormons who become exalted and get a planet full of hot babes to run all to themselves he is stuck here helping his dad mind the store...

Its been 40+ years since the LORD Jesus Christ of the Christian Bible exposed mormonism to me through a demon possessed mormon female who treated me evilly, destroyed my belongings, bad mouthed me to my co-workers, ordered our boss to fire me and finally left in a huff because my boss would not denounce Jesus and worship Joey Smith...
Those six weeks of Hell are etched into my memory because I had no prior knowledge of mormonism, but I sure learned more in those short days than many twoo bewlieving mormons have learnt in their life times...
When she left, my boss called me in and we spent a long time comparing notes...and I finally found out why she hated me...a friend of mine had invited her to our Christian Church..we thought she was a Christian ..she had mentioned the Bible now and again..but being invited to a Christian Church is like having water thrown on her to a mormon...
at that time she had contacted our boss and demanded I be fired out of hand...no reason...just because SHE wanted me fired...The straw that finally sent her packing was the fact that although I didnt know the extreme depths of her treachery, I called on God to help me and He just had me love her back through all the lonely horror of her demonic tyrany...
Fortunately I was a good worker and there was no reason to fire me...and my boss didnt even mention it to me...but neither did my nemisis...she had sent me to Coventry...I was so beneath her in her mind, she ignored me and refused to speak to me through all those SIX WEEKS unless it was somethiong damning and cruel and belittling...apparantly I was suppose to feel some punishment or something...who knows with the twisted mormon mindset..
At 19 I had never met such a person berfore...although I have now experisenced the same demonic spirits in these threads now..I didnt know what to do...so I cried a lot and called on my God who just instructed me not to say anything and not to defend myself but just to give back love...each time I did something nice for her she kidded herself I was under her feet and was her slave...what a sucked out ego ala Joey Smith...
Meanwhile she was proslytizing our Methodist boss who was a strong Christian lady...Apparantly the mormon female was on her “mission” and she had just about every pamplet and book on mormonism available and/or published by 1968...our bosses owned a lot of land, etc and the mormon missionary must have thought she had found a rich sucker...What is it about the mormon mindset that refuses to believe NO means NO ???
Well for six weeks the mormon missionary continued to harrass our very patient boss...encouraged by the 1968 equiliant of FARMS, FAIR and LDS .org no doubt...but was she working on her own when she ended up giving most if not all her literature to our boss ??? and that “deep” info ???
the boss would say NO, she was given a book of mormon...
the boss would say NO..she was given copies of the D&C...
the boss would say NO...she was given pictures of Joey Smith dressed in a fancy mormoning coat digging in the ground...
the boss would say NO sdhe was given a copy of D&C 132...
the boss would say NO...she was given the info on dead dunking..
the boss would say NO...she was given the info on godhood..
the boss would say NO...she was told her husband could call her from the grave IF he was a mormon..
the boss would say NO..she was taught the secret hand shakes and signs and sayings etc
the boss would say NO...she was told she was going to Hell..
my boss said NO...she was told that mormon guys get to have harems..
my boss said NO..she was told she better say yes if she wanted to be a concubine in her husbands harem..
and so it went on until my boss knew most of the MEAT..
and so she told me ...THE MEAT..
Now who exactly the mormon FEMALE was and how she got to know all the MEAT and have all those pamplets etc I do not know and I do not care...
My Christian boss warned me that mormonism was a cult and begged me never to get mixed up with them...they were not Christtian...
It was not long after that that I stareted meeting up with the oh-so-NICE-mormons but I knew what they knew and more and so they were quickly subdued..
A couple of things I noticed...
1. The put the words jesus christ on the side of their buildings...lots of cults do that..
2. more importantly...there were no crosses on their buildings ...nor inside...I went inside one to see..it looked like and had the atmosphere more like a senate chamber than a Christian Church
All I can say about what I suffered at the hands of that mormon female..is what the devil meant for my destruction, God meant for my good..
over the years I have had many mormon missionaries try to shove their religion down my throat ...knocking on my door and telling me I was going to Hell..
So well armed with much all what mormonism is about, I come to these threads...
to find that most mormons still dont know what their religion teaches...

"Every member a missionary" PD? Why don't you "put forth a little effort" and enlighten all of us as to what exactly the "truth" (as you define it) looks like?
As to PD's plea for seeking out the truth, I wholeheartedly agree.
Compare ALL of mormonism's teachings and history (not just the Book of Mormon) to that in the Bible and discuss it with someone you trust that has an intimate knowledge of Biblical scripture. Your Pastor, Preacher, Elder, dad, mom, etc.
Do not trust your feelings, test the claims in ALL of the LdS scriptures and doctrine.
Check and see if their prophets pass the tests of a true prophet as defined in the Bible.
Yes, the "truth" is out there and in here.
If you're a mormon, the "truth" will set you free, as it did me.
