Evangelicals, or what you term "Protestants" do not assert any moral, theological, or ethic superiority due to any hierarchical management structure, nor in fact to any human construct or tradition whatsoever, so attempting to decry the actual Christian church en toto by decrying two of its members has no logical basis or effect.
