It sure is the issue. You are criticizing the Church about inadequate action with liberalized Catholics, when on the Protestant side you have whole churches liberalizing their doctrine. Go clean up your own house, then you can start work on ours.
The RCC is vociferous enough about marriage, gay marriage, abortion, euthanasia, stem cell research, and a whole host of other moral issues.
Why is the Catholic Church so silent about these politicians? Why isn’t it acting instead of just speaking?
How can you expect people to take the Church seriously when it won’t take itself seriously?
Liberal mainline Protestant churches at least aren’t being hypocritical about their stand. They’re consistent with what they say they believe and the action they take.
Not that I think their position is correct, just that they are displaying consistency.
