Is flotilla battle signaling start of 'Gog and Magog'?

A council of rabbis in Israel says their nation's conflict with Turkey over a flotilla of "aid" ships headed for the blockaded Gaza Strip controlled by the terrorist Hamas organization just may be the beginning of the "Gog and Magog process where the world is against us, but which ends with the third and final redemption."

The announcement comes today from the Rabbinical Council of Judea and Samaria, whose statement was reported by Israel National News.

WND columnist Greg Laurie just months ago explained the biblical reference to Gog and Magog, in the book of Ezekiel, as a prophecy that a "large force," will attack Israel from the north.

"We don't know why or exactly when this will take place. But this much I know: There is a lot going on in our current headlines that leads me to believe it could

The Turks, Syrians, and Hezbollah? If so, there are going to be a lot of incinerated Mohammedans. Can't see the Russians getting involved except in the weapons supplying role, but who knows.

I got goose bumps and butterflies in my stomach reading this. It’s like being pregnant and close to the delivery time: The excitement of the baby coming and the fear and dread of the pain one has to go through. The “end times” are truly more like a birth. I can’t wait!

Yes history certainly turns on a dime. I remember when I was a kid, and my pastor would lump Turkey in with the other armies in this battle and I thought— that makes no sense— they’re friends. Oh well.

With BHO in office I think his dislike of Israel will lend itself to the prophecy that we [USA] will do NOTHING in Israel’s defense. Or am I mistaken about this?

Oh no, you're exactly right. According to the Bible, when this battle takes place, the rest of the world says:

Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil?" (Ezek. 38:13).

So basically all we come up with is a strongly worded note.

Does that mean they are ready to convert to Christianity?

Awww, heck.

What an effing *shame*.

And they've contributed so *much* to civilization...

Burn, baby. Burn.

Frowning takes 68 muscles.
Smiling takes 6.
Pulling this trigger takes 2.
I'm lazy.

I think this invasion begins the seven year tribulation because “the house of Israel shall know that I am the Lord their God from that day forward.” Ez 39:22. A relevant question is what is the progress of the preparation of the beginning of the daily sacrifice and the rebuilding of the temple which are vital elements in the first 3 1/2 years of the tribulation? Detailed analysis below.

.

.

Before the rapture of the church and the seven-year tribulation, Israel continues in unbelief or to wait for their Messiah to come as king and rescue them. Revelation shows God “sealing” (“saving”) Israel at the beginning of the seven-year tribulation. Rev. Chap. 7. And interestingly, it seems that seven years is involved in the whole clean-up process: “[A]nd they shall burn them with fire seven years.” Ez 39:9.

The problem is I think the temple needs to have been built and the sacrifice needs to have been established pretty much around that same time. The Bible indicates that the “beast”, the coming Satanic world ruler will “take away the daily sacrifice” when he places “abomination that makes desolate” (Dan 11:31). This will take place in “the midst of the week,” the 70th week in Daniel. (Each week is seven years and you can count 69 weeks or 483 years from Daniel to Christ’s crucifixion. Dan 9:26.) The 70th week is the seven-year tribulation. Dan. 9:26b-27.

And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate. Dan 9:27.

This Satanic world ruler who is the "man of sin" and "the son of perdition," meanwhile, [w]ho opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God, or that is worshiped; [so that he] as God sits in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. 2 Thessalonians 2:4

Therefore, the sacrifice is stopped and this "man of sin" Satanic world ruler sets himself up as God in the temple in the middle of the 7 years or 3 1/2 years after the tribulation begins. A relevant question is what is the progress of the preparation of the beginning of the daily sacrifice and the rebuilding of the temple?

Gee, me neither.

From Amos 5:

18 Woe to you who long
for the day of the LORD!
Why do you long for the day of the LORD ?
That day will be darkness, not light.

19 It will be as though a man fled from a lion
only to meet a bear,
as though he entered his house
and rested his hand on the wall
only to have a snake bite him.

20 Will not the day of the LORD be darkness, not light—
pitch-dark, without a ray of brightness?

I think I’d rather pass on that.

You are right.

I can not see Turkey becoming more involved than they already are. They are too concerned with their role in Europe (although that seems to be less desirable today). But if they did, it would not be the 1967 war all over again. They are both modern military powers.
