That is a VERY VERY common ‘faith promoting rumor’ among the LDS. Everyone knows at least ONE person who has ‘traced their genealogy all the way back to Adam and Eve’.

LOL! You mean like this man, our very own FReeper Delphi User, who said he has four lines that go back to Adam?

The problem is, we have been commanded, I don't know how, I don't need to know everything, I just know I'm supposed to get started, so I have. My family has four lines back to Adam, once you get to Noah, it's pretty easy.

I wonder if these people have considered the very real possibility that one or more of their ancestors was illegitimate. That would throw a monkey wrench in the whole thing. ;0)
