Bruce R. McConkie like the Pratt brothers had their opinions on things there were times they struck gold and other times they got carried away.

No man is perfect in all things nor is the LDS we all have our baggage which will influence our thoughts so that is why in John it said always try the spirit no one can escape the opposition trying to detract us.

Even the Prophets teach all of the LDS to pray and get a confirmation for ourselves when a revelation is given.

Why is it that when Tennessee Nana says something about Mormons denying the Holy Spirit, you label her an "outright" liar? But if a Mormon "apostle" says something which denies the Holy Spirit, you suddenly become very charitable in your description of him -- describing him as...
...opinionated,
..."no man is perfect in all things,"
..."we all have our baggage..."???

Why didn't you respond to 'Nana and simply say, "I see, Nana, that you're opinionated, nobody's perfect in all things, etc.? Why did you automatically assume the worst and attribute malice & motive when McConkie didn't receive the same assumption from you?

If you're going to treat a Mormon leader one way and let them off the hook, shouldn't you be consistent and do the same with others -- instead of flailing about with horrendous descriptions and motives of FREEPERS here?

Don't you know that hypocrisy is a sin that Jesus came down very hard on the Pharisees about? They didn't want Jesus to heal on the Sabbath day.

Jesus asked the Pharisees and experts in the law, "Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath or not?"...Then he asked them, "If one of you has a son or an ox that falls into a well on the Sabbath day, will you not immediately pull him out?" (Luke 14:3,5)

It bothered them so much, "So, because Jesus was doing these things on the Sabbath, the Jews persecuted him." (John 15:16)

Are you going to repent of your hypocrisy, Resty? We're all inconsistent, Resty. We all need Jesus to come in and forgive our inconsistency. But will you admit that it's there for Him to forgive? A physician will not cure something we don't go to him to address.
