Re "edifying to believers" - we have a responsibility to build up the body, rather than knock it down - but at the same time we also have a commitment to truth. You can't not say something that is true just because it doesn't cast your fellow believers in the best light.

Question. You talk of Calvinist takeovers. I have been spared that experience, but I have been in churches that have had charismatic takeovers. Have you any thoughts on that?

We need to worship God in Spirit AND in truth. Charismatics emphasize spirit at the expense of truth; Calvinists do the opposite. (that will get me in trouble with both groups)
