And what was even sadder was she gave me rosary beads and after my visit with her and back home with my parents I threw them away and never told her I never believed in the power of the rosary.

I just couldn’t knowing she believed in the Catholic Church and they denied her communion just because her second husband as a widower wasn’t a baptised Catholic.

I believe in the power of prayer. If a rosary helps people pray then its good. I don’t understand the idea that an object can have any power, seems like an idol.

Sorry about your Grandma, I’m sure that caused the family a lot of pain.

Being baptized isn’t required for salvation so I never understood why they took that position.
