Bread. Wheat flour and water in the Latin Rite. The same plus yeast in the Eastern Rites.
You know, I never can recall being told that as a Catholic. Maybe they just presumed that it was a given that everyone knew.
Or if they did in First Communion class, likely I just forgot.
