It’s really quite simple.

And the Catholic Church says that it is the TRUE church.

Go figure.

I love it we will find out at the end of this run!:)

1. Starting with the First Vision, Mormonism teaches that all churches except the Mormon Church are an abomination in the sight of God.

What else needs to be said?

FR should focus on politics, religion divides us.

Then tell JimRob about it.

Perhaps he'll get rid of the RELIGION forum.

It’s about RESPECT for ALL religions, not about a particular person. DUH!

Sorry; but some do not DESERVE 'respect'.

Then after this week of maligning the Mormonism and inciting other to post anti Mormon stuff due to your article you decide to stir the pot more by accusing the Mormons of being Anti Catholic.

of COURSE Mormons are Anti Catholic!

MORMONism says that ALL churches (but themselves) are APOSTATE.

Catholics are a subset of ALL.

If you don't like the way logic works; then take it up with SLC headquarters.

Why is that ????

She like threads that are about 19 posts in length so she doesn't have to read as much.

all the revials in town were some form of the reformation so at the time JS asked the question there was not a Catholic church never was mention!

What part of ALL is so hard to UNDERSTAND?

How 'bout a link to this. I have never heard of the Catholic Church having "revivals" such as were happening then...their revival non-attendance does NOT mean there were no Catholics living there.

I think it would be pretty cool to think of the Nuns and Priests in their habits and robes joining in a tent meeting and speaking in tongues, LOL. Maybe that's where Whoopi Goldberg got the idea.

FR should focus on politics, religion divides us.

FR has the Religion Forum for religious discussions. If you don't like to read them, please configure your preferences to avoid the RF - the mod could probably help you out.

In glancing at your second link, Here there seems to be a discussion about those who are forbidden from entry into the thread...kind of like entry into a mormon temple.... How surprising is THAT?

Next thing you know, there will be some kind of "ticket" required for membership in the Religion Forum, and those applying will have to meet certain standards of conduct as judged by an "authority" and be required to purchase the membership. Of course, there will be NO accounting of dues money collected to the members, a good portion of which will be spent on CTR rings.

Hubby and I are Polish Catholic like the late, great Pope John Paul II.

That man alone restored my faith.

Oh, how I miss him.

I thank God that I was alive when that great man was around. :-)

You said "all the revials in town were some form of the reformation so at the time JS asked the question there was not a Catholic church never was mention!"

Sounds very much like the statement is that Joe didn't MEAN the Catholics when he said "ALL"....I just want a link to the information that "ALL the revivals in town were some form of the REFORMATION". I fail to see why attendance at a revival is the measure of the "corrupt" churches of the day which is what the post implies. Please explain, with sources. I'd even accept mormon sources for this one.

That is just plain funny. It is a direct admission that Mormon arguments can't stand up to scrutiny of open discussion.

It is also why Resty’s caucus threads are so short. After all once you post something from Mormon authorities the thinking has been done.

As an aside, the article in question in the caucus thread is also a hoot. It is direct evidence of what we have often said. They will throw anyone under the doctrinal bus if it serves current LDS needs.

Resty, once again you have done our work for us...
