Anything based on a false premise can’t stand.

It will result in an error in logic.

It is true that anything based on a false premise cannot stand. But it is, at the very kindest, debatable that a false premise will result in an error in logic.

For example: I take as a premise the false one that my across the street neighbor has three heads. From this I argue that if he has only two hats, his head will get wet on a rainy day.

The logic is good, but the premise and the conclusion are bad.
