IOW, the Gospel writers DIDN'T relate the primary teachings of Jesus in their accounts? They wasted their time on less important teachings of secondary matters? They related many of them, sure. But the primary teachings were oral, not written.

And we know they’ve been passed down accurately how? when the written word itself is alleged to not have been passed down accurately (meanings lost in the translation, unreliable manuscripts, questions about which books should even be included, etc).
