It doesn't. It's just typically an observed courtesy. I really didn't think about it for one, and the reply wasn't directed at the individual referred to with a seeming nickname. I saw it as an effort to pound the table out of disagreement with my reply, nothing more.
then next time, remember to ping the table. Or you could pong it. then you’d have a ping pong table.
