"Even thou God has set His seal of approval on the Holy Rosary by many miracles, and in spite of the Papal Bulls that have been written approving it, there are only too many people who are against the Holy Rosary [Fr. Mark's Marian prayer would fit into this category as well] today ... It is easy to see that they have absorbed the poison of hell and that they are inspired by the devil ..." --St. Louis De Montfort, The Secret of the Rosary.
No.
I think it’s quite nice that each group has a sheltered caucus designation they can be at home with one another on.
It grieved me because it was so hostile to Biblical Truth.
I gather you are asserting that your focus is as described in the prayer posted by Mark Kirby. So registered.
Thanks for your contribution to this research thread.
"Exo 20:2 I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
Exo 20:3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
Exo 20:4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:
Exo 20:5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
Exo 20:6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments." -Jehovah, Lord God Almighty.
Matthew 7:21-23 21"Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.
22"Many will say to Me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?'
23"And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.'
That post disturbs me, but only because it is so anti-Christian.
Speaking for myself, that thread was very "disturbing."
God protects His children and keeps their feet from slipping. One gracious part of that protection is to make them sensitive to idolatry so that they are disturbed its display and thus they flee from it.
May God grant Roman Catholics that same discernment lest they become like the idols of silver and gold they bow down before and serve.
