7 When you pray, dont babble on and on as people of other religions do. They think their prayers are answered merely by repeating their words again and again. 8 Dont be like them, for your Father knows exactly what you need even before you ask him! 9 Pray like this: Our Father in heaven, --New Living Translation 7And when you pray, do not heap up phrases (multiply words, repeating the same ones over and over) as the Gentiles do, for they think they will be heard for their much speaking. [I Kings 18:25-29.] 8Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask Him. 9Pray, therefore, like this: 15But if you do not forgive others their trespasses [their [j]reckless and willful sins, [k]leaving them, letting them go, and [l]giving up resentment], neither will your Father forgive you your trespasses. --Amplified Pray with Simplicity 5"And when you come before God, don't turn that into a theatrical production either. All these people making a regular show out of their prayers, hoping for stardom! Do you think God sits in a box seat? 6"Here's what I want you to do: Find a quiet, secluded place so you won't be tempted to role-play before God. Just be there as simply and honestly as you can manage. The focus will shift from you to God, and you will begin to sense his grace. 7-13"The world is full of so-called prayer warriors who are prayer-ignorant. They're full of formulas and programs and advice, peddling techniques for getting what you want from God. Don't fall for that nonsense. This is your Father you are dealing with, and he knows better than you what you need. With a God like this loving you, you can pray very simply. Like this: 16-18"When you practice some appetite-denying discipline to better concentrate on God, don't make a production out of it. It might turn you into a small-time celebrity but it won't make you a saint. If you 'go into training' inwardly, act normal outwardly. Shampoo and comb your hair, brush your teeth, wash your face. God doesn't require attention-getting devices. He won't overlook what you are doing; he'll reward you well. |
Mark Kirby: O Mother of Good Counsel, I am all thine, Most Holy Mary, There is no part of my life that is not open to thee, I want to be completely transparent with thee, Praying in this way, I can be at rest, |

That is your opinion and it is mind reading, cease and desist or we will report you to Father Flapdoodle
But that's exactly what Catholics do when they canonize someone and make a saint of them and pray to them.
So tell me, how do Catholics know how heaven is arranged? Who's been there and come back to tell us about it? And how can we know that we can trust him and his account?
How do you know she doesn't?
This post is such a knife to the heart of Mary and her Son; if you only knew, you'd immediately apologize to the both of them.
How do you know this? Did they tell you?
well we know for sure from the bible, that God sits at a throne, with Christ on his right hand. We know from Stephen’s soliliquy that Christ sometimes stands at the right hand of God. We know there are 24 elders seated and a great host of others. We have no indication however that Mary sits over all of them, at the left or in the middle.
Mary died. We are not commanded to pray to dead people FOR things.
Asking someone to pray FOR us is not the same as praying TO them FOR things.
The forest full of staw dogs is whistled for again.
Perhaps I need to work harder to simpify this. That's an area of weakness as most here know.
1. The competition is NOT with the AUTHENTIC MARY by any means to any degree.
2. The competition is in the heart of man.
3. The battleground for the heart of man is the mind.
4. Many Roman Catholics et al . . . evidently most of those who are members of the rabid cliques hereon . . . are seduced to an alarming degree into all manner of fantasies which subtract from JESUS THE CHRIST'S EXCLUSIVE ROLE, STATUS, OFFICE, POSITION, GLORY, DEITY. 5. That's just a fact.
B) It's an observable fact in terms of the emotional weights those words carry.
.
C) It's an observable fact in terms of the sentence structure those words are used in.
D) It's an observable fact in terms of the documentation associated with such ideas and practices.
.
E) It's an observable fact in terms of the behaviors the Roman Catholic et al sheeple demonstrate year in and year out.
F) It's an observable fact in terms of the WORDS AND EMOTIONS those SHEEPLE display WHEN they are performing those behaviors or talking about them.
.
G) It's an observable fact in terms of the COMPARE AND CONTRAST SCRIPTURES referring to such attitudes, foci and related activities.
H) It's an observable fact in terms of the spiritual fruit resulting in subtractions from attention in time and effort worthy only JESUS.
.
I) It's an observable fact in terms of the psychological defense mechanisms so faithfully employed defending such idolatrous, blasphemous activities and attitudes.
J) It's an observable fact in terms of the hostility daring to touch such sacred cows triggers.
.
K) It's an observable fact in terms of the shallow, transparent rubber logic employed to justify such attitudes and behaviors.
L) It's an observable fact in terms of the testimony of the greater intimacy with God of those who've been freed from such attitudes and practices.
. . .
AMEN! AMEN! AMEN! AMEN! AMEN! AMEN! AMEN!
THX DEAR SISTER.
Roman Catholic apologists have put her in competition with Christ by offering some prayers to Christ and some prayers to Mary.
Idolatry.

ABSOLUTELY.
Aside from what is told us in Scripture by John, there is NOTHING in the Bible that supports the Catholic arrangement of heaven or hierarchy of saints.
Well, she isn’t our blessed mother to begin with. She’s only the mother to her own children. And while she is blessed, we all are in Christ.
The other thing is, way too many of the prayers to Mary and the saints are prayers TO them asking them FOR things. It’s not just a matter of asking her to intercede for us.
Besides, in light of Jesus clear teaching that we are to pray to the Father, what’s the point in praying to anyone else? What can they do for us that God Himself can’t do for us?
Not to mention that since they have died in their mortal bodies, they are dead to us and no longer accessible to us.
If it were intended that we pray to people who have died in their physical bodies, why didn’t Jesus teach on it? Or Peter? Or any of the other apostles?

INDEED TO THE MAX.
INDEED.
WELL PUT.
THX.
THANKS for your kind words.
Matthew 23:9 Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven.
Those are Jesus own words right there, straight out of the Gospels.

INDEED TO THE MAX.
WHEN folks start rationalizing, shucking and jiving, slipping and sliding, running and hiding . . .
WITH GOD’S WORD
it’s usually time to flee the area or the conversation.
AMEN! AMEN! AMEN!
Well it’s Friday, and thank God, Sunday’s comin’!
I can't "put her" anywhere but where she is. I don't have the power to rearrange heaven like that.
I beg to differ. You can in your heart and mind.
We all rearrange reality in our hearts and minds daily--all the time--including realities about Heaven, Heal, earth, relationships, personages . . .
However, the abundance of evidence is that
GOD THE FATHER
GOD THE SON
GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT
AND CERTAINLY
the authentic Mary in HEAVEN
ARE NOT REMOTELY in agreement with such idolatrous, blasphemous rearrangements of Mary's personage or status to the least degree, shape or form.
LOL. Love the things. Preferably with ice cream.
