Wow, where to start. I’m wasting what little time I have left tonight on ignorance, so here’s a link to marriage laws.
http://www.coolnurse.com/marriage_laws.htm
Utah’s marrying age is 16, with consent, unless with a court order, then it can be 15.
Alabama-Down to 14
Colorado-Under 16 with Court order (Like Utah!)
Indiana-15 With permit
Michigan-Under 15 (Hey, lower than Utah!), With court/parental permission
And that list was by no means comprehensive, just enough to show the lie/ and provocative libel.
“The point was that Utah age on marriage was low as a remnant of polygamy.”
The problem with using stupid lies (rather than the more clever ones) is that they’re generally the easiest to look up. That legacy of Polygyny must be nation wide! Oh wait, it’s world wide...
Must be the fault of the LDS for polygamy in Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, most of Africa, Iran, etc...
Wow, Mormons are almost as bad for the world as Ed Schultz and Randi Rhodes claim George W. Bush was!
Hmmm, now that I think about it, I bet the Mormon tradition of polygamy was the direct result of George W. Bush and Dick Cheney messing around with time machines. Probably why Solomon had hundreds of wives and concubines, and why Charlemagne - that Papal appointed defender of Christendom and Church-crowned Emperor - had multiple wives and concubines!
BUSH'S FAULT, I SAY, BUSH'S FAULT!
