No question it's powerful stuff.
Rom. 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
Doesn't sound like good works will save.
Rom. 5:8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
It was Jesus Christ who saved us, not ourselves!

People who miss that fact miss the enormity of the gift. It's all unearned grace, from start to finish.
