"Leo did not understand or not know the Catechism?

Pope Leo knew the Catechism as certainly as you don't. His statement was not unqualified. In calling Mary the Mediatrix of all graces, the Church does not mean that she is a rival for Jesus’ unique place. Vatican II clarified the Church’s position on 1 Timothy 2:5–6:

The maternal duty of Mary toward men in no way obscures or diminishes this unique mediation of Christ but rather shows its power. For all the saving influences of the Blessed Virgin on men originate not from some inner necessity but from the divine pleasure. They flow from the superabundance of the merits of Christ, rest on his mediation, depend entirely on it, and draw all their power from it. In no way do they impede the immediate union of the faithful with Christ. Rather, they foster this union. (LG 60)

Christ makes it possible for Mary to mediate grace and desires her to do so because he has planned it that way.

Knowing, then, that the Church cannot teach error, we are able, by faith, to accept that Mary is the Mediatrix of all graces. But faith seeks understanding.

There are no qualifications in his statement: Leo calls Mary the Meditrix of all graces, Co-Redeemer and at the side of God, a position Stephen saw Christ occupying in Acts, chapter eight,
and Leo adds, “To thee we lift our prayers, for thou art the Mediatrix, powerful at once and pitiful, of our salvation.”, “Queen of Heaven”.

I think a Pope understands the Catholic doctrine better than Nat. Law does.

And Paul just forgot to mention Mary to Timothy?

I guess their Mommies never told them for the 100 thousandth time . . . that

Their actions and massive preponderance of words speak far, far, FAR LOUDER than a few micro-grams of caveats here and there.

I guess it's kind of like the RELIGIOUS rulers 2000 years ago saying to Jesus--

"Yeah, so what if we are. Sure, we're white washed tombs, pits of vipers and sons of satan. However, in our by-laws, it says right here that we're not--so we're home safe! SEE!!!!"

Though actually, they weren't any more honest about it than the rabid cliques hereon.

Besides, the response will still likely be . . .

DEPART FROM ME, YOU WORKERS & FERTILIZER SPREADERS OF INIQUITY.
