That’s too bad about the cancer link. I have long thought that the answer to immigration reform was the RFID microchip. Secure borders and a way to track “guest workers.” Then I would be all for some form of regularization to get everyone on the same playing field—no under ground economy. Couple flat tax with this type of immigration reform and I think you have something.
I think the problem with something like that is eventually the government would mandate that ALL workers have implanted chips. It's what the government does at every turn. They introduce a "simple", "helpful", and "uncontroversial" plan then expands it later to a size that was never initially intended.
