Archbishop Gomez will be up against 30+ years of progressive education in the LA diocese. It will take years to undo much of that damage. Hopefull, it will also signal the end to these liturgical abuses.

I am not Catholic, and thus do not have a dog in the liturgical fight. My concern is that this new guy will be a proponent of yet more mass illegal (Mexican) immigration into our country. You know, on "compassionate" grounds.

This is my sole beef with Roman Catholicism: They want me to roll over and allow my country to devolve into a 3rd world ghetto republic, for humanitarian reasons.

I stand against that concept.
